Set in the Northeast Minneapolis neighborhood, this is a remodel combining an urban settings’ primary attributes, grit and glamour.

Th e gritty exterior with a concrete fi nish and constantly changing graffi ti is contrasted with high-end fi nishes in the interior-cream leather, hand-fi nished plaster fi nishes, custom pieces fi nished with metallic overlays, and classic streamlined furnishings.

A coffee shop during the day and a restaurant at night, the space planning allows the shift of function from day to night.

The floor plan (top) shows the three distinct areas in Tag, the dining room, the bar and the lounge.

The reflected ceiling plan reinforces the space planning with height changes,creating intimacy in the dining room and a more social, vibrant experience in the bar and lounge.
