Kindergarten Registration

Starts JAN. 27

Kindergarten enrollment begins Monday, January 27, at

mpsaz.org/enroll

To enroll, your child must be 5 years old before September

1, 2020.

Please upload the following documents during your enrollment or bring them to the school at your earliest convenience:

• Proof of age and identity

• Immunization Records

• Proof of residency with current address (lease agreement or utility bill, etc.)

If you need assistance with kindergarten enrollment, please visit our office between 9 to 3:30 PM. Evening enrollment assistance is January 28 from 4 to 6 PM.

Matriculación para kínder 2020-21 La matriculación para kínder comienza el lunes 27 de enero, en mpsaz.org/enroll Para matricular, su hijo/a debe tener 5 años de edad antes del 1 de septiembre de 2020. Por favor, suba los siguientes documentos a su matriculación electrónica o llévelos a la escuela:

• Prueba de edad e identidad

• Cartilla de inmunización

• Comprobante de domicilio con la dirección actual (contrato de renta o factura de luz, agua, etc.)

PTO Parent Meeting Come join our PTO. Meeting are held the first

Monday of the month at 5 pm in room 36. We would love to

have you. Parents on PTO help with

fundraisers, events and other programs that help our students and teachers. If you have

Taft Elementary is always looking for

awesome volunteers! If you (or someone you

know) are able and willing to volunteer a few

hours of your time each month we would love

to have you! It can be anything from

paperwork at home to helping children in the

classroom.

February - Taft Family Fun Science Night, in the

MPR. Come join us for fun experiments, things to

make, and exciting things to learn. Hosted by the

Red Mountain MCC Science department.

Date and time will be announced soon.

Parent Concerns?

Have a concern? There are many ways to communicate

with the school to ensure your concerns are heard.

• Attend Parent Teacher Conferences

• Attend Pastries with the Principal, first Monday of

February and April at 8:30 am.

• Contact the classroom teacher via email or leave a

message on their classroom telephones

• Make an appointment with the principal

• Contact the Special Education teachers, Speech

teacher or psychologist

• Attend SIAC meeting on the first Monday of each

month at 3:15

• Attend PTO meetings on the first Monday of each

month at 5:00

• Get online and fill out a “How is our Service”

form.

Community Food

Programs

Bountiful Baskets Go to www.bountifulbaskets.org For more

information and locations. There is a cost of $15 to $25 for various kinds of baskets

and foods.

United Food Bank - Help Yourself Program

“Help Yourself” is a weekly food purchase

cooperative for those in our communities on fixed incomes and limited resources. Held on most Fridays from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. the $20 cooperative offers fresh meats, produce and a variety of dry goods to create 5 meals. As

available, Help Yourself clients can also make selections from a variety of

complimentary items like bread & pastry, assorted dairy and deli products. The program offers a great opportunity for

anyone who’d like to make the most of their food budgets; weekly or monthly. There’s no qualifying, no limits and no restrictions. “Help Yourself” is located at our Volunteer Annex at: 358 E. Javelina Ave Mesa, AZ 85210.
