Tartan Fields Golf Club would like to introduce the Piper’s Post. This is an interactive

newsletter to keep you up to date on all the Club’s social activities and upcoming events.

This new newsletter will give the Membership the ability to have all the current promotions via online interactive document or traditional print newsletter available in the Clubhouse at the front desk, Bar Area, and Golf Shop. The

online version’s features the ability to click the pictures and be able to sign up for that event. Any Golf promotions will take you directly to Foretees and the Social Promotions will take

you to the proper email. Try it out, Click away!

GM Joe Flynn’s Message

As the leaves begin to change and the crisp autumn air begins to settle in, we’re excited to celebrate the season with fresh new programming and events for our Membership. We haveenjoyed an incredible season of golf, started new traditions in our beautifully renovated Clubhouse and are enjoying the splendor of breathtaking experiences on our one-of-a-kind patio. This is a great time to be a Member at Tartan Fields and we are so glad to share in the upcoming fun alongside your family.

The month of October plays host to our spooktacular version of Halloween! And you won’t want to miss out on our Family Halloween celebration full of ghouls and goblins in the haunted cart barn, a mad scientist, treats, DJ beats and so much more.

All of these events and opportunities are great fun for family and friends. ‘Tis the season to invite someone to Membership at Tartan Fields. With our great promotion for both new and sponsoring Members there is something for everyone and we look forward to seeing you at the Club soon.

Chef Todd’s Culinary Corner

Recipe of the MonthFall is one of our favorite seasons in the culinary world. Our menu here at Tartan Fields is well represented with the season’s most flavorful ingredients. One of those being Brussel Sprouts, which we serve with our signature dish the Hot Honey Chicken. Here is the recipe that I use daily for you to recreate in the comfort of your own home.

3lbs of Brussel SproutsSalt

Black Pepper1 tbsp Bacon Bits 2 tbsp Olive Oil

Cut the brown end off of the sprouts, and then cut the sprouts into quarters. They will fall apart a bit and that is okay. Toss

the sprouts in 1 tbsp of olive oil and season to your liking with salt and black pepper.

Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and spread out the sprouts and bake at 350

degrees until golden brown and tender. Taste to make sure they are seasoned

properly and toss with bacon bits and the other tbsp. of olive oil.

Serve immediately and enjoy!

Marking the Course with Marcus and EdPatriot golf Charity Event for the Month of September

In September, we raised just over $2,000. 100% of Donations from Patriot Golf benefit Folds of Honor.Waste Bunker (between holes #11 & #16)

We are excited to share that the waste bunker between #11 and #16 fairway is complete. This area has been sodded and will be maintained at rough height cut during the golf season for play. Thank you to Ed Odorizzi and his crew for working hard on this project.

Ball Marks Initiative for 2015At the beginning of the season, we made a commitment as a professional staff to communicate to our Membership how important it is to repair your ball marks. We simply asked that every player repair their ball mark and find one other to fix each green. With the Membership’s help, this initiative was very successful. Thank you for your support in maintaining and making Tartan Fields Golf Club one of the best courses in the Columbus area.

Golf Shop MerchandiseWe are keeping the golf shop fresh with new monthly clothing shipments for both Men and Women. As we

transition into Fall and eventually Winter you will begin to see more lifestyle pieces coming in. Men/Women/Juniors

As we transition into Fall, two new shipments from Link Soul, a style similar to Travis Mathew and Bird Dog Bay, a Chicago based company specializes in Men’s dress shirts and ties to match. Adidas has expanded options for the women’s collection, we now are offering leggings/ yoga pants in the shop along with a brand new shipment of golf apparel. Logo hoodies from Under Armour for Men, Women and Juniors will be in later for the month of October. It may be a bit early but still a great time to be thinking about junior golf sets for 2016 as your junior is growing out of his or her current set. We have full golf sets that include golf bags from Callaway and U.S. Kids Golf.
