Installation tools upgrade The procedures for insertion and extraction of T1 have

been upgraded:◦ last (first) ~1 m of insertion (extraction) will proceed with parallel

and controlled (via screws) movements of the two half-arms◦ load and tension on the assembly

monitored through load cell◦ relative z position of two half arms monitored and constrained

mechanically by new temporary extensions (Roman Stefanovitch)

Successful simulation of insertion/extraction of one arm as in real life (fast and safe)

HF+ water leak on Feb.1st, 2014

Water leak (likely) caused by a faulty connector inside the Wiener Maraton power supply

A Technical Incident Panel has been set up by Wolfram (2 meetings already done)◦ see minutes for details on investigation and actions

All 4+1 T1 power supplies need to be repaired/changed asap to reinstall them and to allow surface tests and commissioning (1 needed)

Timing◦ Truss installation CMS* ~6h◦ 2 ¼ on platform CMS* ~4h◦ Temp. services + Commissioning TOTEM 1.5d (more if

viable)◦ Cage-truss alignment CMS* ~4h◦ Insertion, fastening, check CMS* ~1d

• Extrapolation from 2010-11 operations• Operations can be faster now: services

already installed, more experience, more tools

* In case, 1-2 TOTEM technicians to support/replace CMS ones.
