With this presentation we will all start to understand more about the game, from different stats, strategies and even all the all-star players to keep your eye on.TRANSCRIPT
Brief HistoryBasketball was invented by Canadian, Dr. James Naismith at a YMCA in Springfield, Massachusetts
in 1981.
Naismith created basketball using 13 original rules. These rules have been modified over time but
the principles are still the same.
The first NBA game ever was in Toronto on November 1st, 1946. The Toronto Huskies vs New
York Knickerbockers. (New York won, 68-66)
Some Rules & Regulations Regulation Basketball

Regulation Net 10 ft Tall, diameter of 18”
5 Players for each team are on the floor at a time playing 5 different positions.Point guard(1), shooting guard(2), small forward(3), power forward(4) and center(5)
Free throws are worth 1 point.Shots made behind the 3-point line are worth 3 points.Any other basket made is worth 2 points. You must dribble (bounce) the ball to move with the ball.Once a player stops his or her dribble, they must pass or shoot.Any illegal contact is counted as a personal foul against the player that committed
the contact. The other team receives possession of the ball or 2 free throws depending whether or not the player was in the act of shooting.
