REFLECTION : GOD’S AMAZING LOVE!
Our gospel today tells us in John 3:16 – “For God so loved the world that He gave His only Son that whosoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.” God’s love is so strong, it is eternal and constant. God doesn’t love us because we are good or because we have something to offer in return. It is an unconditional love, like the love good parents have for their children.
How do we know that God truly loves each of us? In the cross we see the proof of God's love for us and the incredible price God was willing to pay for our redemption. Jesus gave up his life that we might have life – abundant, everlasting life with God – a life of love and unity with the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit forever. Through the cross Jesus opened a new way of relationship for us as adopted sons and daughters of God – his beloved children (Romans 8:14-)
Though God’s love is unconditional, we must freely accept it to ben-efit from it. God cannot force His love upon us. But constant rejec-tion of God’s love could lead to serious consequences (1st reading) Jesus therefore invites us to walk in His way of love through obedience to the will of the Father. True love of God is more than good intentions. It is conforming to God’s will in Loving–Obedience and Sacrifice, to which the Lenten season invites us.

POPE’S INTENTION MARCH 2018: Evangelization: Formation in Spiritual Discernment: That the Church may appreciate the urgency of formation in spiritual dis-
cernment, both on the personal and communitarian levels. ************************************************************************
THE PONTIFICAL GOOD FRIDAY COLLECTION Pope Francis has asked our Parish to support the Pontifical Good Friday Collection, which helps Christian in the Holy Land. Through the Pontifical Good Friday collection, you stand in solidarity with the Church in the Holy land as a witness of peace, supporting Catholics there in Parishes and Schools, maintaining Christian Shrines and
caring for refugees in the Holy Land. Please be Generous
LA COLECTA PONTIFICIA DEL VIERNES SANTO El Papa Francisco nos pide que apoyemos la Colecta de Viernes
Santo.
STEWARDSHIP—REFLECTION March 11, 2018 4th Sunday of Lent “For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son…”JOHN 3:16 Of all the wonderful gifts that God has given to us, the gift of His own Son is truly the greatest. How can we ever thank God for a gift like that? God does not ask us to sacrifice our own precious firstborn, but He does ask that we are grateful and generous with our Godgiven gifts. That we nurture and develop them and return with increase.
