broke about Montel, Sylvia reassured her fans, “Don’t feel bad, I’ll still be around,” she said. “Some people are concerned that they’ll never see me again. I’m not retiring. When I retire, it will be when I’m six feet under!” Sylvia also said that her spirit guide tried to warn her about these develop-ments. “I was just thick and wasn’t

paying attention when Francine said that this was going to be a year of changes.” The Associated Press (AP) and United Press International (UPI) were the first to report that the New York-based Montel show would cease pro-duction after the 2008 season. Several reports also said that Montel would be replaced by a “younger version of himself.” “I’m very sad about Montel. LATE-BREAKING NEWS=The Montel Williams ShowCancelledafter17-YearRun

The 2008 season will reportedly be the last for The Montel williams Show, the long-running New York-based syndicated talk show hosted by Montel Wil-

liams. On January 30, the Associated Press reported that the show will cease pro-duction after this television season. Several reports also indicated that Williams will be “replaced by a younger version of himself.”

Sylvia has been appearing exclusively on the show for 17 years. She met Montel during the taping of a Halloween episode in the early 1990s on the Queen Mary where she was trying to discover whether the luxurious ocean liner was haunted. The then-skeptical host soon became one of her closest friends.

“When I met Montel, I knew that I’d come into the presence of a great soul, and perhaps even a kindred spirit,” Sylvia said.

cBS Television Distribution will offer 52 weeks of “Best of Montel” epi-sodes starting this Fall, many of which will feature Sylvia’s most memorable appearances.

In a statement to the press, Montel commented, “After spending 17 years as a talk show host and 22 years prior in the military, I’m looking forward to the opportunities the next 17 years will bring.”

On New Year’s Eve, most people around the world

were heading to Times Squares or other gala celebrations to ring in the New Year. But not us Sylvia fans. We were glued to our television sets that day to listen to Sylvia’s new

Predictions for 2008 on the Montel show! Sylvia looked absolutely radiant in a stunning white outfit as she walked on the set to give Montel a big hug. As Sylvia took her seat, Montel Williams started to alert the audience about Sylvia’s latest venture. “You know how when you drive down the highway to Las Vegas, you see Wayne Newton billboards and billboards with strippers on them—” Montel started to say. “Yep, that’s me!” Sylvia jumped in as she laughed. “There’s a big Sylvia Browne billboard!” Montel proudly cooed. Sylvia lit up with enthusiasm as she described her Las Vegas engagement at the Exalibur Hotel, the publication of four new books she’s writing in 2008, and her Farewell Lecture Tour for Hay House. “Don’t worry, I’m not going to be like cher and have seven of them!” she joked. So what’s in store for 2008? “I’ve never seen such rotten years as the last two, especially from my readings with peo-ple,” Sylvia said. “We were all out of whack, but by January 10th, it will be over. This is going to be an exciting year.” Montel began squirming in his chair as he immediately fired off questions about the most publicized Hollywood celebrities. And so Sylvia began to give us the run down: On Britney Spears:Sylvia was very concerned about the pop singer’s downward spiral and talked about how she thought Britney was showing symptoms of bipolar disorder. “She needs to be on medication. I also see someone that’s going to help her.”

On Owen Wilson: “He will have another dip in depres-sion, but then he’ll get help.”

On Lindsay Lohan: “She’s going to straighten out her life.”

On Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie: “I don’t think in the long run, they’re going to stay together. But they are going to adopt another child.”

On Jennifer Aniston: “She has a lot of hurt that she needs to get over. In a year or two, she’ll marry a producer.”

Montel shifted gears as the audience was eager to hear more about world affairs and the political race for the

Presidential seat. Here are more of Sylvia’s predictions on these topics:

On our troops coming home: “They will start to come home this year in increments.”

On President Bush’s declining popularity: “Duh…He’s at an all-time low.”“Is he going to get any lower?” Montel asked. “He’s going to go so low, they won’t be able to find him!” Sylvia said, chuckling.

On Presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton: “Hillary will be the frontrunner until the summer. She’ll look like she’s going to take it all, but then she’ll flatten out.”

In between her Predictions, Sylvia also took several questions from Montel’s studio audience. One woman vali-dated another one of Sylvia’s predictions. “Sylvia, you pre-dicted that I would get better financially and it happened on July 1st. Rock on!” Sylvia continued to offer her predictions on the economy and in the medical field.

On housing: “It will get stronger.”

On the job market: “It’s awful, but it gets better this year.”

Automotive industry: “Ford is going to hire more peo-ple. The industry is going to green. There will be more hybrid cars.”

On the stock market: “It’s going to be a roller coaster. It would be better if you roll dice. Look into medical stock.”

On medical breakthroughs: “There will be break-throughs in diabetes and the treatment of cancer with sound waves. There will also be more research into stem cells with wonderful results.” As the episode was winding down to the last segment, Sylvia talked about a topic that she said worried her the most: the weather. “I see more tsunamis, a big earthquake in Japan, and dormant volcanoes erupting,” she said with sadness in her voice. “This will be tough year for weather.” As always at the show’s end, Montel asked Sylvia what’s in store for all of us in 2008. “When the year is an odd number, things start and nothing culminates. This year, it’s an even number—2008,” Sylvia explained. “This means that things will come to fruition. Eight is a mystical number and it’s also an infinity number. It’s going to be a much better year for everyone.”

Do you like antique shopping? Well, Sylvia re-minds us to be careful when we choose our purchases. “When you bring an antique home, you can also bring a spirit’s energy along with it.” Sylvia’s advice, “If it doesn’t feel right, don’t buy it!”

= = = This “whale of a tale” that happened during one of Sylvia’s guest appearances on Montel is certainly worth repeating! It’s about “Billy Bass”—the popular plastic mounted fish that flops around and sings goofy tunes. (It’s the perfect gag gift that many of us have given to our favorite fisherman.) A woman told this amazing story about how her “Billy Bass,” which was hanging dormant for some time on her wall, suddenly started repeating the phrase: “Can you help me?” It turns out that the message was a warning about a fire at their next-door neighbor’s house. The neighbors were out of town, so this woman was able to thwart a potential disaster and alert the fire department. But when the woman checked the back of “Billy Bass” later that day, she noticed that there were no batteries in it! No way, you say? Sylvia knew otherwise: “It was your angels,” she said. “Our angels and spirit guides often use something moveable or turn lights on and off to send us messages.” Wow!

= = = Francine will love this one! In her new book, Temples on the Other Side, Sylvia talks about how her spirit guide gave her quite a shock when she described all of these “new” temples and buildings on the Other Side. But Sylvia still managed to add a little jibe about the way these messages are delivered. “Sometimes I can’t bear to listen to Francine directly for very long because her voice comes into my right ear and sounds like a more annoying version of Alvin and the Chipmunks!

Life ThemesSylvia often teaches us that we each have unique life themes. She defines them as the purposes we choose when we come into life to perfect. “everyone has a theme, and

we all experience it individually, because we’re all unique in the way we view and feel things.”

In each issue, Sylvia will elaborate on one theme. She asks that you read it carefully and meditate quietly on it. If it springs out at you and makes more sense than others, then more than likely, this is your primary theme.

The Theme of Healer is a very metaphysical Theme, as well as a very spiritual theme. Healers are compelled to go into medicine, physical therapy, holistic

medicine, hospices, ministries, and so on. Anywhere there are sick and ailing people, you will find a Healer. Healers are also the advanced entities who realize that even the laying on of hands is beneficial because they are tubes by which God’s energy flows through. If they cannot be in any of these fields, then they are mid-wives, nurses, or anyone who cares for the sick, whether they are elderly or children. If there is no other avenue, Healers become ministers to the sick and dying and open houses for people who are poor or on drugs. The whole thrust of the Healer Theme is to care for anyone in need, especially in the physical sense. Religious orders have been founded especially to administer to the sick. The person with this Theme has a green aura around their hands that can be seen through Kirlian photography (see Glossary on page 11). By the very aura they carry, those with a Theme of Healer have the ability to walk into a room and neutralize negative energy. The only danger they run into is that they can become too empathic. Healers must separate themselves from their own ego and realize that it is God’s energy, not theirs, that heals. They don’t want to drain off or assimilate the illness they are trying to cure.

TRAiTS: Pisceans are very aware of their bodies. You’ll always see Pisceans with natural agility. They’re very streamlined and svelte and they wear clothes very nicely, both male and female. They’re the kind you can put into K-Mart clothes, and they look all dressed up. I think it’s their natural bone structure. A lot of models are Pisceans, with the high cheekbones. You never see a Piscean with a droopy, sagging jaw. They always have a very clean-cut jawline. Pisceans are the artists’ models. They age very well, too. The only thing that a Piscean has to worry about is that, due to their bone structure and the cut of their jaw, they can get a little bit taut-looking when they get older. Because their jawline is so cut-in, they have a tendency to get a rigidity about them. However, very rarely do you see a Piscean needing a facelift. They keep that natural structure of the jaw. Q. Will the economy get better here in Michigan? With all the layoffs

at the Big Three, people losing their homes and industry moving out, what

will become of us left here? The economy will improve in your area. More hybrid cars will come out. It’s like what happened in Silicon Valley. So, be patient and in a year, things will get better.

Q. What is your best advice for people who want to lose weight? Exercise, drink eight glasses of water, and stick with vegetables and proteins. No starches and sweets.

Q. Do you have any remedies for a herniated disc? Or is a chiropractor the only solution? If you can, do 25 sit-ups in bed every day and you can also try Lecithin. Acupuncture may help, too.

Q. Do we include suicide in our charts or is it written in the charts of the family left behind to learn from it? Both. We [?] we are going in too fast, but we do it anyway and then [??] out. Our families also learn spiri-tually from it. [checkwithLinda]

Q. In the last newsletter, you talked about “vibrationally” cleansing your home. Can you explain how this is done? You do this by putting salt around the outside of your house and going through each room with a crucifix while making the sign of the cross. You can also light a white candle and mentally put a white light around your home.

Q. Now that 16-year-old Jamie Lynn Spears is pregnant, will she have better luck in the parenting department than her older sister, Britney. Yes, much better. She’s not bi-polar.

Q. Will the U.S. ever have universal health care? Yes, with the new president.

Q. How can I tell if I’m meant to be a healer? You are, so start by practicing the laying on of hands.

Q. How can we reduce our high blood pressure if we don’t want to diet and it’s too hard to exercise? You have to exercise even if it’s just walking and you have to diet. High blood pressure is dangerous and there isn’t a fast fix.

Q. When people are in a coma for many years, do their spirits leave immediately? Yes, they are not there. They’re on the Other Side.

Q. I keep noticing the beautiful cross that you always wear when you’re on Montel. What kind of a cross is it? Can you tell us more about it? It’s celtic and I’ve had it for years. I’ve given it a lot of energy and I love it. I got it in Greece.

Q. Do you see an end to the Writer’s Guild of America strike? Will they successfully get their fare share of the “new media”? Yes, right away. (Predicted Feb. 5, 2008, just one week before the strike ended.)

Q. Where do diseases such as polio, AIDs, and cancers come from; surely God does not “give” them to man to work out a cure. Are they an environmental result of man’s foolishness? Yes, man has polluted the atmosphere. But in two years, there will be cures.

Q. When we cross over, do we remember all of the lives that we lived? Every one of them! And we can view them all in the Temple of Wisdom.

Q. What can wheelchair bound people do to fight and prevent skin ulcers? Have someone apply an aloe vera lotion all over your body and try to move around as much as you can.

Kirlian photography is a method of capturing on film the auras, or energy patterns, that surround living

things. It was discovered by two Russian scientists, Semyon and Valentina Kirlian, in 1939, and it involves passing a high frequency electrical current through an object while photographing the object either directly or through glass. The result is an image of the object along with colored auras around them that are capable of indicating stress, illness, and other disturbances in the body of the object itself. Kirlian photography has been a favorite target of skeptics for decades, and on some occasions the skepticism has been deserved. Photographing auras is a ripe area for frauds and

scams, and there were more than enough victims of faked Kirlian photography at the height of its popularity. At the same time, though, legitimate researchers around the world were conducting well-documented, successful experiments with the vast potential of Kirlian photography and the study of aura images in all areas of the life sciences.

Sylvia Predicts Nicole Kidman Pregnancy On January 7th, the top entertainment media, including People.com and Extra.com all confirmed that Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban are expecting their first child. But this was no news for Sylvia, who predicted the blessed event almost three months before! In her 2008 Predictions, which she made on October 15, 2007, Sylvia said, “Nicole Kidman will become pregnant.” The Oscar-winning actress and her country singer husband, both 40, have been married since June 2006. Kidman adopted two children with former husband Tom cruise, and she also revealed last year that she has had two miscarriages during their 10-year relationship. This is Urban’s first child. When confronted by reporters at a restaurant in Sydney, Nicole said she was “very excited.” But when asked the sex of the baby, she replied, “That’s personal.”

SylviaForeseesMoreTroubleforO.J. O. J. Simpson is back in the news and it’s no surprise to Sylvia, who still sees more trouble for the former football star. In the November/December 2007 edition of The Sylvia Browne Newsletter, Sylvia was asked if O. J. would ever get his life back on track after being arrested for allegations that he and several friends burst into a Las Vegas hotel room and robbed two sports memorabilia dealers at gunpoint. Sylvia responded by saying, “O. J. never has been on track and will not find his track. He justifies everything he does.”

Just two months later—O. J. was taken into custody again for more trouble, this time on allegations that he violated terms of his bail by trying to talk a co-defendant out of cooperating in the Las Vegas armed robbery case—just as Sylvia foresaw. At press time, the judge doubled O. J.’s bail saying, “There’s no ‘get out of jail free’ card today.” The money was raised soon after, and O. J. was released.

Trains Still Not Safe, as Sylvia’s Prediction Continues to Ring True

In the last three years, Sylvia has continually warned us about train travel in her annual Predictions, and her foresight still rings true today. On several Montel shows since her original Prediction in 2005, Sylvia reiterated, “I know that I sound like a broken record, but I’m still worried about train travel throughout the world. Please, stay away from trains.” On October 10, 2007, a cSX Railroad train headed to Buffalo derailed and caught fire in Painesville, Ohio, which resulted in an evacuation of 1,300 nearby residents—just as Sylvia predicted. There were no reports of injuries and at press time, the cause of the accident is still under investigation. And last month on January 15th, Sylvia’s prediction came true again when the AP Wire reported a train accident in eastern India, killing nine people and injuring two. The accident occurred when the train collided with a rickshaw that was crossing an unmanned railway intersection.
