CLOUGHANEELY GOLFCumann Gailf Chloich Cheann Fhaola had a very successful Open Week. The Golf Course and Greens were in great condition compliments to Philip and his team for their hard work. We had a great buzz around the Golf Club all week and a special thanks to all the volunteers and club members that helped in the bar and with other various jobs throughout the week. The 1st prize of a ‘yellow wheelbarrow’ created a great talking point before and after the golf. He was followed in 2nd by the steady Kevin Boyle with 36pts. Gross was won by Paul Doherty. In 3rd was John McGinley with 35pts. Visitors Prize went

to Andy McCallin from Balmoral GC with Michael Barry Gaoth Dobhair winning the Longest Drive. On Saturday it was Seán Ó Gallchóir, Vincent Collum and John Murphy that got the best conditions of the day to win the 3 Ball Better Ball. Gerard McGinley Dunfanaghy won Nearest the Pin. The 4 Ball Better Ball on Friday was won by Philip and Matt McGeady with 47pts a great score they had a few birdies each. This week we have a 9 Hole Shoot-Out on Thursday evening draw @ 6.15pm. We have a 9 Hole Champagne Scramble on Friday draw @ 6.15pm. Enda McMonagle’s 2019 Captain’s Prize takes place on Saturday 18 Hole Stableford use the club website to book a teetime. Ladies tee-off @ 1pm with some visitors playing @ 2pm. The Prizegiving will be @ 9pm on Saturday night followed by music all welcome.
