Interior designers are always

on the lookout for office

furniture that provides a

comfortable, ergonomic

work area—

Yet, can utilize the least

amount of floor space

possible. Expansions,

downsizing, mergers,

acquisitions—

All are common terms used

now and will continue to be

used into the future.

Office furnishings must be

able to adapt to these

changes.

Ergonomics—the buzzword

and standard that office

furniture must measure up

against.

With so many factors to

take into account, which

office panel system do

interior designers specify?

SYSTEM XXI

—A panel system that meets

the needs of office workers

today—and tomorrow.

All hang-on components (such as overheads, shelves, worksurfaces and tackboards) areheight adjustable in 1" increments on all System XXI panels.

Stackable panel sections allow you to easily convert a shorter panel (used in teaming areas) to a taller panel for full privacy.

System XXI Panel Information

Panels range in height from 32" to84" and widths of 12" to 60" andare available in fabric acoustical,fabric/laminate, curved, glass andopen frame panels to accommodatemost office situations. Three- andone-half inches of panel glide adjusta-bility accommodates uneven floors.

Additional panel heights can beachieved or existing panel heightsmatched through the use of theSystem XXI stackable panel sections.

A durable, roll-formed, steel frameprovides the basis for the System XXIpanel core. The internal data/communication wireways are alsoproduced with roll-formed steel.

The System XXI panel wasdesigned with acoustical control inmind. The aluminum foil septumacts as a sound barrier. Two layersof fiberglass insulation on each sideof the panel absorb high and lowfrequency sounds. This combinationprovides a quiet work environmentfor your entire office. A vinyl panelhinge not only acts as a sound barrier, but also provides a light shieldwhen two panels are joined together.System XXI panels have beenengineered to provide .80 NRC and23 STC ratings—which meansacoustical efficiency in your office.

With employee safety in mind,System XXI panels were designedto meet or exceed applicable ANSI/BIFMA standards. System XXI panelsalso meet or exceed UL 1286requirements.

The acoustical panel isengineered to provide .80NRC and 23 STC ratings. These high absorption andbarrier ratings contributeto an acoustically efficientenvironment.

Grommets can be specifiedon any System XXIworksurface. They providea great option where morecable access is needed.

Worksurfaces feature threeedge treatment options:3mm PVC, post-formedand T-edge (bullnose).

Slimline grommets arelocated flush with thepanel and lift up easilywhen access for cablesand wires is required.

The Flexible CPU slingpermits a CPU (up to 65"circumference) to beconveniently locatedanywhere along the under-side of a worksurface.

Data access panels areavailable with above or belowworksurface height access. They allow attachment ofsingle-gang, double-gangand surface-mount databoxes and plates to theface of the panel, with allcables routed inside thepanel, out of sight.

PowerUpTM brings power/data access to the worksur-face. The flip-up modulecontains one duplex 110-voltreceptacle and two dataports to fit LucentTechnologies data jacks. The standard three-prongplug electrical cord comesin three lengths and providespower to the module.

The CPU security kitadjusts to fit most any CPUunit and can be installed inthe field. The security kit canbe adjusted to discouragethe removal of the internalcircuit cards as well as theentire CPU.

Worksurface support panelsend the run of worksurfacesand lend additional supportto the panel.

The base feed routespower to the panel wirewayfrom the wall or floorjunction box locations.

The monitor lift optionallows for the user to movetheir computer monitor arange of 4"-11" above theworksurface.
