The EX800 is inspired by the award winning Mission

Elegante series designed by our Research and Develop-

ment team led by audio design guru Peter Comeau, who

incidentally, is ‘the’ chap behind the Elegante series.

More and more consumers nowadays seem to have an

inclination towards purchasing speaker system packages

over individual speakers. This is the same notion that

brought about the Elegante series and is now carried-

over to the EX800.

The EX800 is based around a full-range stand mount

speaker – the EX800B – which is, in itself, capable of

breathtakingly natural sound over a wide bandwidth.

This speaker is matched by a subwoofer – the EX800S –

which provides greater bass power and extension from

100Hz down to 30Hz. Both speakers have been designed

to create an elegant tower with an interlocking design

that maximises the potential of individual enclosures for

each section. By separating the low bass power

subwoofer from the full-range stand mount, IM distor-

tion is lowered resulting in greater clarity throughout the

midrange and treble.

The EX800C is a perfect match to the EX800B and has

been designed to provide realistic rendition of voices as

well as handle the extra power required in the centre

channel, allowing an easy addition to create a 5.1 or 7.1

home theatre system. The package also comes with a

high quality fitting accessory for use in bi-amplification

and bi-wiring.

Curved Cabinet Construction

Similar to the Elegante, the EX800 defies the norm

by utilising a curved cabinet structure – from its

sides, even to its top - regardless of the special

requirements in craftsmanship, machinery, and

intricate design involved in its construction.

Why a curved cabinet? Curved cabinets add signifi-

cant strength to the overall design construction. It

also helps the loudspeaker generate a clearer and

more vibrant sound while reducing cabinet

vibration and the impact of standing waves. The

curved shape of the cabinet assists in the immedi-

ate dissipation of these standing waves ensuring a

cleaner and more tuneful bass.
