BoardingFort Worth Transportation Authority (FWTA) bus stops are marked with red, white and blue signs. FWTA is committed to providing passengers with convenient access to route information. Each FWTA bus stop lists the routes that pass each stop along with our Customer Service number for information and assistance in planning your trip. For your safety and ease of service always board at posted stops and shelters.

Passengers who use wheelchairs are able to board easily, as all FWTA Local and Express buses, vans and trains offer 100 percent wheelchair accessibility.

Riding the Bus is Easy!You only need to know three things:

Bringing Your Bike on BoardFor those passengers that like to pedal and ride, FWTA buses have quick-release bicycle carriers. Bikes are welcome on trains near the boarding doors and some train stations provide stationary bike lock-ups for those times when you won’t need to take it with you.

The Fort Worth Transportation Authority (FWTA) offers bus service throughout the city as well as Molly the Trolley service downtown and the Trinity Railway Express (TRE) from downtown Fort Worth to Dallas. Beginning in late 2018, FWTA will offer the new TEXRail commuter rail line that

will run from downtown Fort Worth to the Dallas Fort Worth International Airport’s Terminal B.

A sleek and modern train, TEXRail will add a new dimension to public transportation in North Texas. Passengers will enjoy a smooth and quiet ride on a train that offers level boarding for easy access for travelers with bicycles or strollers or wheelchairs. Inside the train are convenient hooks for hanging bicycles vertically during the ride.

TEXRail also has a designated quiet car on each train for reading, catching up on email or just relaxing. The new trains will offer many features including seatback trays and work tables, USB ports for charging electronic devices and a roomy design for passenger comfort. The bidirectional train allows the engineer to operate from either end, without ever having to turn the train to travel the other direction.

This spring, we are implementing bus service improvements in west Fort Worth. An example of our enhanced service is Route 2, a popular route that goes to the Cultural District. This route will have increased frequency on the weekends and later evening service seven days a week.
