Industrial Project

• To solve a real-life problem and implement the proposed solutions

• Requires a number of factory visits

• The following steps may be taken:– Analyze the system and understand the problem – Formulate the problem and define the scope of the

project– Literature Review– Develop, validate, and test models– Develop solution algorithms– Develop computer programs (solution, interface, etc.)– Implement the proposed system

• Each team is going to send their votes and cover letters for the projects until September 27, 2010, 10:00 am

– Each team is going to fill the relevant row.

• Points:– Distribute 50 points among the alternatives.– At least 5 alternatives must be voted using integer numbers.– Minimum point for an alternative is 5.

• Language: English (unless otherwise is stated);Paper Size: A4;Paper layout: Portrait; Margins: All margins must be 2 cm;Line spacing: 1.5 lines;Page Numbers: All pages must include page numbers;Font: Times New Roman; Font type and size: Normal, 12 points;

• Please state your team number, names of the team members (always in alphabetical order of the surnames), academic and industrial advisors in all of the written documents that you submit.

• There are going to be interviews on September 27 - October 1, 2010. (if necessary)

• Be prepared for the interviews.

• Interview schedules will be announced on the course web page. Check the course web page frequently.
