Why does this sit in relation to SCE - more mature people in the EPG end - in mid market they have less servers, less IT staff or less maturity. Therefore less robust IT.

Where there is an IT generalist they may run SCE themselves. But where 24.7 support is required or need holiday, illness coverage etc. An experience designed specifically for service providers!Service Provider Management PackRemote Management securely over internetScalable to 100 SMB customersCustomer centric console & reportingEasy deployment and configurationMonitoring knowledge & intelligenceExtensible to include further servicesWhat Is System Center Providing?

About building software specifically for service providersSpoke to a lot of customersThe tools ranged from MOM, SMS, Terminal Services As a service provider these products are design in that way for the mid market. They dont provide me with a customer centric view

The solution is design to work securely over the internet. With no VPN or user name and password for each environment.

Simple for a customer to install and also for a service provier to get up and runing.

RMS will not hard limit nodes managed at customer sites or the number of customer sites that may be managedDesigned for ~100 mid market customer sitesManage clients and severs centrally via standard management packsData driven scale using System Center Capacity Planner

VAP installs OpsMgr 2007 at their premises. The VAP management pack provides customer centric views, tasks and reports.

SCE is installed at customer premises and configured to communicate with the VAP site.

The VAP site synchronizes automatically with Microsoft Update (MU) and OpsMgr 2007 management packs.

Using the OpsMgr channel, monitoring data is sent to the VAP site. The VAP may open a remote console to the customer using Indigo remoting.

SCE automatically downloads update binaries that are approved by the VAP using the remote SCE console; SCE installs them on computers at the customer site.
