Synergy between light-weight tools
An inception case-study
Uncle Roy
bought me an iPad
Thanks
Uncle Roy!
My mate, Dave, gave me
a mini-whiteboard
I have a fetish
for colourful
pens
We had an Inception
for HITnet and the Black Dog Institute
Srini brought index cards
and suggested Dropbox
Matt said
"let's use Trello"
Mini-whiteboards are great
for working in small groups…
…for sketching screen designs…
…for sketching architecture…
…for sketching architecture…
…for sketching architecture…
We captured the sketches
with the iPad camera
We uploaded them quickly
into Dropbox…
…and presented a few
in Trello
We developed our stories
on index cards
Story prioritisation was easy
on the long edge of the table
Story prioritisation was easy
on the long edge of the table
Story prioritisation was easy
on the long edge of the table
Entering the stories was quick
in Trello
By the end of the inception…
…we had a summary
of the inception in Trello…
…we had a
complete visual record
in Dropbox…
…we had a prioritised backlog
in Trello.
Our clients…
…were very happy…
…and so were we!
Thank you!
