What to Include in Sympathy Cards

Be short and simple

Express your condolences

*if you knew the person you can share a short memory, and share how much that person meant to you

*if you know that they passed after a long period of suffering or illness it is appropriate to acknowledge the illness

*If you know the person its okay to offer some assistance—If you need anything feel free to call me… I would love to cook you a dinner… etc.

Close with an appropriate phrase followed by your name.

I’m praying for you, you are in my thoughts, my sincere sympathy, with heartfelt condolences, they memory of him/her will always be in our hearts.
