Casa Ristorante Italiano has re-opened its doors at Sydney’s King Street Wharf after a significant

renovation, heralding an exciting new dining experience on the iconic waterfront.

The old traditional red and white tablecloths and food court façade have been replaced with a chic fit out

courtesy of acclaimed interior designer Paul Papadopolous and the team at DS17.

Encompassing a generous al fresco terrace, as well as indoor and private dining, the new Casa allows

guests a sophisticated backdrop for drinking, dining and entertaining. The design has been carefully

mastered to suit all occasions with pockets of exclusive dining spaces found throughout the venue.

The new focal point is the traditional wood fire pizza oven that sits at the heart of the venue. The oven was

flown in from Florence to allow Sicilian-born head pizza chef, Salvatore D’Avola, to create authentic,

mouth-watering pizzas reminiscent of those from the streets of Napoli.

Another major addition to the venue is the dramatic island bar. Laced in marble and elegantly positioned

as a divide between the al fresco terrace and inside spaces, it provides the perfect backdrop for sipping on

an aperitif, or browsing the artisan cocktail menu.

Contemporary accents throughout the venue include bulb lighting, stylish feature walls and ceilings, a

groceries section and brushed metallic accents. Elegant tiled floors and oversized lit mirrors throw mood

lighting around the venue, highlighting the beauty and sophistication of this new trendy Italian.

The menu has also been polished and sharpened, while still maintaining the authentic Italian flavours that

Casa is renowned for. The focus remains on top-quality local and imported Italian ingredients, with

handcrafted pastas and breads made fresh daily. The public wine and cheese fridge allows guests to

interact with the produce for themselves, housing cured meats, cheeses and matching wines.

With a fresh new look and updated menus, as well as the continued focus on customer service, Casa has

truly marked its place as one of the Wharf’s top dining destinations.
