3253 entitlement units broken down as: 246 notebook computers21 servers (to be installed)1782 desktop computers
520 “extra” computers to support school administration
The Apple rollout is scheduled for Semester 1 2008 (subject to current negotiations).
SR ITSU will be contacting schools before the T4L computers have been installed to determine if the school requires further assistance.

T4L 2008Fileserver installations
Sydney Region is currently installing 21 T4L Servers + 6 Descretionary Purchase fileservers in our schools.
A schedule has been developed based on the critical need for the new fileserver. These fileservers are a combination of T4l fileservers and fileservers that have been purchased using discretionary funds.
Typical server installations takes 3+ days.

Lenovo are to return to your school three days after the installation of your T4L computers as part of the takeback program
Apple are to return to your school ten days after the installation of your T4L computers as part of the takeback program

If you are experiencing issues with the latest T4L computers accessing the internet there may be an issue with the pac file.
To resolve this issue:
Download and run the file (2008-T4L.exe) from the Desktop Management Infrastructure Group intranet site: http://esdt.det.nsw.edu.au/Projects/SOE/troubleshooting.htm
The patch needs to be run as local administratorYou need to run delprof after the patch is applied

The STEMS high school transition project is running again this year
The 2008 version of the STEMS software will be released for K-6 schools during week 10 of term 2
Data entry for Year 6 students needs to be completed by Week 9 of Term 3 All schools will be notified as soon as STEMS is available for download.
