Outside The gardens and grounds are a particular feature of the property extending to approximately 1/3 Acre incorporating a

principle cobbled patio and driveway leading to a detached double garage with additional turning apron. Both the principle cottage and the bungalow enjoy independent private gardens with paved patios, shaped lawns and an

abundance of mature shrubs and floral borders. Believed to date from approximately 1650. An impressive re-thatched detached Grade II listed family cottage with separate detached bungalow benefitting from planning permission

located in gardens and grounds extending to approximately 1/3 Acre.

Historic Interest Originally a tenanted part of the Henry Lord Hastings Estate and believed to have been built in circa 1648 using recycled materials from the slighted Ashby Castle, the house and land formed and small holding of around 6

Acres. At this time Ashby road had several of these small holdings along its eastern boundary. Syde House is the only survivor and therefore Grade II listed. The house has stayed in the Estates hands until approximately 1900 when

it was sold to the Poxon family (see early photo) and had changed hands a further three times in the last century or so.

The present owners have a keen interest in historical buildings and have carefully restored and maintained Syde House over the years including re-thatching as recently as 2018
