DESCRIPTION

Participatory budgeting (PB) is quickly becoming a hot trend here in the US. PB sits right at the intersection of civic engagement, open government and technology. In short, it’s the perfect topic for SXSW. Tiago Peixoto (World Bank), Marti Brown (City of Vallejo, CA) and myself hope to spread the word about this innovative process at next year's SXSW in Austin, TX to a broad audience of technology and civic innovators. Please vote and comment to help us get there. Voting ends August 31, 2012. Thanks!
