The National Disability Insurance Scheme supports people with a permanent and significant disability that affects their ability to take part in everyday activities. The NDIS helps by working with you to identify supports you need to live your life. The NDIS gives you more control and choice over how, when and where your supports are provided, and leaves you with the certainty you will receive the support you need over your lifetime. Requirements of NDIS: You must meet the following requirements to be eligible for the NDIS: - have a permanent disability that significantly affects your ability to take part in everyday activities. - Aged less than 65 years, when you first access the scheme. - Be an Australian citizen, live in Australia and hold a permanent visa or a Protected Special Category Visa. What’s new at SWRTA? - The Senior Living Project has been completed in collaboration with FACS. SWRTA and FACS visited Housing Complexes in Minto and spent the day talking to the tenants and they received a pamphlet promoting the Antisocial Behaviour Management Policy.
