The first thing you are asked to do, is to find your friends in ooVoo: you can therefore import your email, social networks or instant messaging address books.

You can then start contacting your friends. As you will see on your screen, there are three basic actions you can take: send a Video message

start a video call VIDEO CALLING Video calling guarantees high quality video (smooth video displayed in 3D with clear sound) and a communication with up to three people. If you upgrade to ooVoo SUPER you can talk with up to six people at a time. If no one answers your call, you can leave a voice, video or text message. Other functions include sending files and text messages during the video conversation, adjust/mute your camera, microphone and speakers, choose your ringtone, view call history, and add video effects to your video call. The video calling function includes two new features: the Web Video Call and the Video Chat Room. Thanks to the Web Video Call function friends who don’t have ooVoo can call you right from their Web browser: you just need to send them the Web Video Call link via email or from Facebook/AIM chat window.

If interested in high resolution video and in recording video calls, you can upgrade to ooVoo SUPER. VIDEO MESSAGING You can send up to 1 minute video message (up to 5 minutes with ooVoo super) to as many people as you want at once. You can send messages even to people who do not have ooVoo. You can also be creative and use special video effects. TEXT CHAT You can chat with up to six people at once, easily invite your contacts to join a text chat session and send chat messages to offline contacts.

Other ooVoo functions include the possibility of:
