Yeh - we had a great March with large attendance plus 4 new members. Our dance floor was full every Sunday and the music has been fabulous! On St. Patrick’s Day Lloyd Lickert had a super intermediate workshop teaching many new steps. Also on St. Patrick’s Day we had a good group wearing their GREEN and the prizes went to Frank Taylor for the most Green, Chris Strey for the Prettiest, and Kim Coronado for the most original. Great job everyone. Thanks to Bob Burns for taking the pictures.
Our Club will be celebrating our 45 Anniversary Spring Fling Dance on Saturday May 23rd. We have a live band, buffet dinner, and a night filled with dancing. Bob Pomeroy will start selling tickets on the 2nd Sunday in April. Don’t miss out.
April 5th is Easter. Come join us and see what the Easter Bunny will be bringing. On April 19th we will be having Mark Sheddon as our guest DJ, come dance to his music.
Brandy Richey will be doing a intermediate workshop on April 26th where you will be learning some super moves.
Mark your calendars for Sunday May 3rd and come to the club and vote approval for your new Board of Directors. The nominees are running unopposed and we will be announcing the new board and asking for membership approval. Please join us and show your support for our new board and those members who keep the club running.
Dancing keeps us young – don’t stop!

April 2015 Dance Instructors: Robert and Vicki Palladino
We have been San Diego Swing Dance Club members for over 20 years. We are certified as dance instructors by the Golden State Dance Teachers Association. We love teach-ing West Coast Swing, and above all, want our students to have fun while learning. We teach West Coast Swing dance classes at Foothills Adult Center in El Cajon. Please contact Vicki or Robert at (619) 258-5489 or email Vicki at [email protected] for more information about the classes that we teach. .
Brandy Richey is conducting an intermediate a workshop on April 26th
Brandy Richey started dancing at age 15, training in International as well as American Ballroom and Latin. Shortly there-after she realized that dance was more than a hobby, it was a passion, motivated to learn all styles of partner dancing. She studied and trained with world renown champions and began teaching by the age of 17. Soon after, she ventured into Country Western competing in Division 1 and ranking 4th in the world. After that her love for performing led her to the Salsa community, where she brought her knowledge of other dance styles. In 2002 Brandy and her dance partner started and organized the first Salsa dance company in Phoenix Arizona. The Company has since traveled across the U.S. teaching, performing, and competing. It was at a Salsa/West Coast Swing convention that she found herself dancing more Swing and realized she found another amaz-ing dance. She now mainly dances West Coast Swing, re-siding in San Diego, California where she teaches and com-petes.
