Always to be done before the other 2 exercises in SoR
Can be performed behind a boat or behind the owner – beside the owner/”heel!” – or any other way
The exercise must show that the dog can swim a longer distance

The dog retrieves the object, brings it back and deposits it on the shore
The object is optional – but food is not allowed

untill he/she is told to stop The dog must swim at least 15 metres to
reach the owner and tow him/her to the bank During towing the owner must remain passive
