March Student of the Month
Lisa Suntrup Yoga really helps me to unwind and challenge myself at the same time. I
began practicing at Sweet Peace Yoga about 4 index cards ago (Another
reason I love Sweet Peace as you can mark the passage of time in many
different ways.) I also love Sweet Peace because of the sparse bohemian
space, and the knowledgeable instructors. The teachers are not only
down to earth, but also into the earth and each one of them is
extremely committed to leading students along their journey. I love the
way the instructors explain things fully but also physically in a way that
allows you to see instinctively what they are talking about.
Wide-Legged Forward Bend My favorite pose this month is Wide-Legged Forward Bend (Prasarita
Padottanasana). For me this mildly inverted pose helps to stretch everything at
once and is both calming and engaging at the same time. I feel an incredible sense
of relaxation in this pose, but I also feel connected and focused. I tend to like
poses that bring contrasting elements. It helps to remind me about the
importance of achieving the balance in all things. ~Namaste, Lisa
