Sweet Apple Fields Project ¨  Purpose?

¤  To expand the existing facility for the Roswell community at large.

¨  Why are we expanding and what are we adding? ¤  The current facility includes multiple soccer/lacrosse/football fields, baseball diamonds, walking track with

fitness stations, and both FCBOE and City of Roswell playgrounds.  The fields are currently being used to capacity.  Additional fields will allow us to host sporting leagues and tournaments.

¤  This project will increase the value of all our property – community, residential, and retail.  It will provide another reason for new people to find our community desirable. 

¨  Who will use these fields? ¤  Our community’s school children, community sports leagues, and any person who enjoys Roswell Park.

¨  Where are you adding the fields? ¤  The Sweet Apple Elementary School property between the buildings and the existing fields. 

n  While the fields will be maintained by Roswell Parks & Recreations, the #1 ranked school in Fulton County will also include a premier recreational facility for the students.

Timeline

¨  May 13th – Ground-Breaking ¨  June 1st – Construction Begins ¨  June 30th - Fund Raising Complete

¤ 6 weeks to raise $150,000

¨  August 7th - Construction Complete ¤ New school year begins

Funding Needed ¨  How much will this cost?

¤  The project will cost $250,000.

¨  Who is paying for this project? ¤  Roswell Parks & Recreation is providing $100,000.  World Harvest Church has pledged $50,000. High

Hope Community Development Corporation is donating the financial administration. We need Roswell residents and businesses to fund the $100,000 balance with donations and sponsorships.

¨  Who will pay to maintain the fields? ¤  The City of Roswell

Funding Support ¨  How do companies and individuals support the project?

¤  Personal donations are being received by High Hope CDC here n  A receipt will be emailed.

¤  Sponsorships can be purchased on this website or in person. n  Website sponsors will complete the on-line High Hope Donation form and receive an emailed receipt.

n  In person sponsors will need to complete the High Hope Donation form and keep as the tax deductible receipt. The High Hope representative will need to submit a paper copy, electronic scanned copy, or picture to scade@highhopega.com.

n  Sponsors interested in higher levels of participation, are asked to contact Carla Renshaw, crenshaw@highhopega.com. We will work to accommodate your budget and payment process. 

¨  On-site Tours & Presentation Dates n  These will be scheduled at Sweet Apple Elementary School and open to all.

n  Dates are pending.

n  We will coordinate exclusive events with appropriate attendees for large sponsorship opportunities.

¨  Progress Reports and Updates n  Monthly reports will be posted to the website and emailed to all donors and sponsors.
