It touches our emotions, is dynamic and fast moving, and when we feel the connection, it changes peoples’ lives. This workshop will appeal to photographers of all levels as you capture special moments with the animals at Southwest Wildlife Conservation Center.” Located in Scottsdale Arizona, Southwest Wildlife Conservation Center (SWCC) rescues native Arizona wild animals that have lost their homes to development, or are found injured, orphaned, or abandoned. When possible, the animals in their care are rehabilitated and released — healthy and wild — back where they belong. Those animals that could not survive in the wild can live out their lives at this accredited sanctuary. SWCC is also proud of their contribution to the recovery of an endangered species – the Mexican gray wolf. As a holding facility, SWCC offers space to care for part of the captive population of this rare wolf, and participate as a member of the Mexican Wolf Species Survival Plan (SSP). Animals cared for at SWCC include black bear, bobcat, coati, coyote, deer, fox, leopard, Mexican gray wolf, mountain lion, porcupine and raccoon. To learn more about Southwest Wildlife Conservation Center, visit their website at http://www.southwestwildlife.org. Kathleen will prepare and guide you to capture the feelings and the beauty of the rescued animals. This private workshop consists of both an Online Webinar Presentation and an exclusive photography event at SWCC, with many unique and exciting features: 1. February 11, 2016 – 6:008:00 PM 2 hour online webinar. An informative online webinar presentation, led by Kathleen Reeder, to fully prepare you for spending a day at SWCC. The session will include instruction on essential compositional elements, camera settings and techniques for capturing extraordinary animal portraits and behavior photos. Topics include camera exposure mode, aperture, shutter speed, ISO, composition suggestions, focus considerations and importance of depth of field. In addition, Kathleen will explain the camera settings and key steps for how to make a fence that is between you and these wild animals disappear in your photographs.
