Tribute Wall Over 100 tiles were created when we featured this wall in Central Mall in De-cember. Community members paid trib-ute to loved ones lost to tobacco, pledged to be to-bacco free or gave encouragement to loved ones trying to

quit. These will be the first 100 pieces displayed on the wall but visi-tors of the exhibit are encouraged to utilize the paper and markers avail-able to create their own tiles on the wall. The idea for this wall was in-

spired by other SWAT teams throughout Okla-homa who have engaged their com-munity in thinking about how tobacco affects all of us by publicly creating and displaying walls like this one.

This photojournalism piece depicts how things are not always as they seem.

By taking photos of places in the commu-nity and then show-ing the presence of tobacco in our com-

munity the hidden message is revealed. The exhibit piece is in-teractive and involves statistics and written word. The piece was primarily designed and created by Research Chair Rebecca Pollard and team member Alexsas Rhodes.

the toll tobacco takes on lives have been shown nationwide through similar shoe displays.
