Our day will start with a quick comfort stop on the way to Sparta. Nestled in a quiet, peaceful hilly coulee is Justin Trails Bed & Breakfast where we will enjoy a bountiful buffet luncheon. Justin Trails boasts an elegantly remodeled circa 1919 barn with lush gardens and patios, llamas and even two disc golf courses. I can’t wait to sample Donna’s rhubarb brownies. Next, we will visit the shops on the Kuderer’s Farm where you will be amazed at the quality hand-crafted Amish quilts, rugs, baskets, candies, jams, ice cream and so much more. Here we will pick up Kathy who will guide us to several greenhouses and be our guide through Wisconsin’s largest Amish community. Kathy will tell us the history, traditions and customs of a quieter, simpler way of life. Buggies and colorful quilts on clotheslines in areas surrounded by deep ravines are not uncommon sights in this beautiful part of our state. This visit to the community of Cashton will truly offer you a step back in time and a chance to bring home great plants and Amish treasures. If time permits David will have a surprise stop on the way home. don’t make evening plans.
