opportunity for study, for those interested in working in one of the fastest
growing industries or for those who want a refreshing change to their studies.
The course is 100% coursework.
The Travel & Tourism BTEC Level 3 course…
This course is made up of 6 units:
1. Investigating the Travel & Tourism Sector
2. The UK as a destination
3. European Destinations
4. The Business of Travel and Tourism
5. Customer Service in Travel and Tourism
6. Long haul travel destinations
All of the units are assessed by a number of
pieces of coursework
Can I study this subject... This course is ideal, both if you want to concentrate in
this area or if you want a fresh refreshing subject to study,alongside your
more traditional courses. Progression onto Travel & Tourism
BTEC Level 3 will require at least 5 GCSEs or equivalent, at grade C or above.
Progression to Higher Education & Employment This course can lead directly into employment in the tourism sector or job based
training such as apprenticeships in hotels and travel agents. In addition students
can apply to higher education to complete degrees or higher national diplomas in
tourism related subjects such as event and tourism management.
