CIVIL SPECIFICATION MODIFICATIONS: The following modifications, amendments, deletions and additions shall be made to the Construction Specifications for the Grafton Fire Headquarters specifications and drawings (Contract Documents), added text is bolded (bold); omissions are italicized (italicized); words or sentences to be removed are struck out (struck out): Section 02785 CONCRETE UNIT PAVING: Amend Section 2.01 C, as follows: C Concrete pavers for main entrance and walk bus loop entrance banding and medallions shall be Hollandston Blend, 60mm thickness, pre-cast rectangular pavers, set in the pattern shown on the plans. Delete the following sub-section Section 2.01 D in its entirety: D. Concrete pavers for the cafeteria patio student entrance shall be "Courtyard Square Paver”12” x 12”, shot polished finish, in three color blend. Colors to be selected by the Architect. A three block pattern will be selected and used. DRAWING CHANGES: Sheet C-2: 1. Modify the depiction and location of underground wired utilities as depicted on this plan to

coincide with the location depicted on Sheet ES-1,Site Plan Electrical and Addendum No. 2, Electrical items described therein.. The locations depicted on Sheet ES-1 shall govern.

Sheet C-3 1. Modify the depiction and location of underground wired utilities as depicted on this plan to

coincide with the location depicted on Sheet ES-1,Site Plan Electrical and Addendum No. 2, Electrical items described therein.. The locations depicted on Sheet ES-1 shall govern.

2. ADD two notes depicting the area of transition curbing; from flush walk to exposed face granite

curb. Use granite curbing set at transition angle to make this change in exposed curb, see enclosed attachment AD-3, C-3.1.

Sheet C-7:

1. DELETE the following Details; “Conc./Unit Paver Crosswalk Section”, “Concrete walks and pads”, “Concrete Unit Edging” and “Flush/walk pavement interface” and ADD per the enclosed attachments:

a. CONCRETE UNIT PAVER SECTION AD3, C-7.1 b. CONCRETE WALKS AND PADS AD3, C-7.2 c. CONCRETE UNIT PAVER EDGING AD3, C-7.2 d. FLUSH CONCRETE UNIT PAVER/PAVEMENT INTERFACE AD3, C-7.3 e. FLUSH CONCRETE WALK/PAVEMENT INTERFACE AD3, C-7.3 f. DETAILED GRADING AND DRAINAGE PLAN AD3, C-3.1


ELECTRICAL DRAWING E1.1

1. Sally Port 128 – Delete the fixture type FSA located along column line A-B/2.

2. Sally Port 128 – There are seven (7) type FS and one (1) type FSA.

3. Elevator Machine Room 142 – Fixture types FS1 do not have emergency bodine ballasts.

4. The fixture types FR1A are to come equipped with emergency bodine ballasts. Refer to the fixture schedule located on drawing E7.1.

5. Intake Room 143 - Add a fixture type FS1 with two threeway switch controls. Connect to circuit

EL1-3.

6. Unfinished Space 224 – Change the seven (7) fixture types FS1 to be fixture type FS3. Metalux Co. or equal #8TSS232UNVHB81 with four FO32T8 lamps.

7. Unfinished Space 224 – Change the two (2) fixture types FS to be fixture type FS4. Metalux Co. or equal #SS232UNVHB81 with two FO32T8 lamps.

8. Note – The light fixtures equipped with emergency ballasts are to have a constant 120 volt power.

DRAWING E2.1:

1. Panelboard EP1 (two section) is located within the Main Electric Room 127.

2. The UPS equipment will be located within the Tech Room 107 located adjacent to the data rack.

3. NOTE 1: - The Electrical Contractor shall be responsible to mount the outlets within the locker. Install within a surface mounted single gang box. The branch circuit wiring is to be concealed within the locker assembly in conduit. Prior to installation, coordinate with the Architect to confirm the mounting height and exact location within the locker assembly.

DRAWING E3.1:

1. From the Mechanical Room 126, furnish and install four (4) 4”PVC Schedule 40 conduits for telecommunications t the utility pole located adjacent to the main service drive entrance off of Humphrey Street. Furnish wit pull strings and cap at both ends. The conduits shall be encased with sand buried 36” below grade.

2. Control Center 104 – Install the eight (8) 4”PVC Schedule 40 telecommunication conduits under the slab to the Mechanical Room 126.


3. Tech Room 107 – Install the one (1) 4”PVC Schedule 40 telecommunication conduit under the

slab to the Mechanical Room 126. DRAWING E4.1:

1. The mechanical equipment schedule as shown on drawing E6.1 matches the equipment shown on drawing E4.1.

DRAWING E7.1:

1. Change and add the following fixture types within the fixture schedule to: a. FS – Metalux Co. or equal #8TVT2232-LEX-UNV-HB81 with four FO32T8 lamps. b. FSA – Metalux Co. or equal #8TVT2232-LEX-UNV-HB81-EL4 with four FO32T8

lamps. c. FS1 – Metalux Co. or equal #VT2232-LEX-UNV-HB81 with two FO32T8 lamps. d. FS3. Metalux Co. or equal #8TSS232UNVHB81 with four FO32T8 lamps. e. FS4. Metalux Co. or equal #SS232UNVHB81 with two FO32T8 lamps.

DRAWING E9.1:

1. Panel EM1 will be 225 ampere main lug only 42 circuit single tub panel. DRAWING SE.1

1. This Drawing SE.1 replaces Drawing ES.1 in the Contract Documents.

DRAWING SE.2 1. Add this Drawing SE.2 to the Contract Documents. GENERAL

1. The 2’-0” x 2’-0” pier carrying the Carport on Column line A7 shall be a DCMU base (DCMU Type 1) with a DCMU coping (DCMU Type 2) with brick above to match the finish of the adjacent exterior masonry walls. The pier capital shall be built up of 2 pieces of PVC trim board matching adjacent trim board.

2. On Drawing A6.2 Room Finish Schedule delete all the finishes for Conf #117 and replace with

the following: Floor: Carpet Base: Vinyl Walls: Ptd CMU Ceiling: ACT Install sound attenuation insulation


3. The following sketches are hereby included as part of the Contract Documents: (6 pages)
