Hon’ble Prime Minister of India gave a call for ‘Swachh Bharat’ as a mass movement to realize

Mahatma Gandhi’s dream of a Clean India. The 'Swachha Bharat Abhiyaan' (CLEAN INDIA

MOVEMENT) is a massive mass movement which was launched on 2nd October, 2014; the 145th

birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi that seeks to create a clean India within a period of 5

years. Cleanliness was very close to Mahatma Gandhi's heart. A clean India will be the best

tribute we can pay to Bapu when we celebrate his 150th birth anniversary in 2019. Now the

time has come to involve ourselves towards 'Swachhata' (cleanliness) of our motherland.

Hon’ble Prime Minister desired that a nationwide campaign to be organized with the

participation of all sections of the society to bring about mass awareness for a clean and

hygienic place to live by 2nd October, 2019. The SBM (Gramin) aims at improving the levels of

cleanliness in rural areas through Solid and Liquid Waste Management activities and making

Gram Panchayats Open Defecation Free (ODF), clean and sanitised.

The intensive national cleanliness campaign started from 25th September 2014. The Hon’ble

Prime Minister said it is our social responsibility as citizens of India to help for fulfilling

Mahatma Gandhi’s vision of Clean India, by his 150th birth anniversary in 2019. Swachha Bharat

Abhiyaan exhorts people to devote 100 hours every year towards the cause of cleanliness. As

many as nine public figures: Mridula Sinha, Sachin Tendulkar, Baba Ramdev, Shashi Tharoor,

Anil Ambani, Kamal Hasan, Salman Khan, Priyanka Chopra and Team Tarak Mehta ka Oolta

Chashma have been invited by the PM to make a contribution towards Swachha Bharat, share

the same on social media, and invite nine other people to do the same, hence forming a chain.

People also asked to share their contributions on social media using the hash-tag #My Clean

India.

TRIMEX INITIATIVES: M/S. Trimex Sands Pvt Ltd has implemented Swachhata Programme on every Saturday of last

week of the month. Swachhata Programme is being implemented in the mining area, PCP &

MSP plants and surrounding villages of the Mining Lease area. All employees including ladies

and school children participated in the campaign and transformed the areas to a beautiful site

and we are continuing this campaign.

Drinking Water:

Company has taken initiatives to provide Clean Drinking water to the surrounding 16 villages of

Mining Area. To fulfil this initiative two R.O. Plants have been installed at Mogadalapadu and

Perlavanipeta Villages to provide clean and hygienic Drinking water to the villagers. The

inhabitants of the other villages have been provided clean water through Eight water tankers

every day.

Health:

Dr.Koneru Madhusudhana Rao Memorial Clinic in Vatchavalasa village Sponsored By Koneru

Prasad Charitable Trust, has been set up for Villagers of the nearby villages for their health

checkup and treatment purpose. Two Medical Officers are available at 9.00 a.m To 9.00 p.m

and 7 staff members also available at our clinic. We have covered total 40 Mining villages for

their health checkup. Company has taken initiatives to keep hospital premises & lavatories

clean and hygienic.

School:

Smt Potluri Vara Lakshmi Primary School (English Medium) Administrated By Vijnana Vihara,

Gudilova & Under the Management of Trimex Sands Pvt Ltd. Vatchavalasa (V) , Gara Mandal,

Srikakulam –A.P has been opened for free & quality education of children of rural area near

by our ML area. We are having in total 328 Children’s (from LKG TO 6th STD.) for the F.Y.2016-

17. We have initiated Swatch Bharat Abhiyan in our school premises. School staff and students

participated for this programme on every last Saturday of every month. Company has taken

initiatives to provide clean drinking water and clean & hygienic toilets in the school premises.

During the Swachhta Programme initiated in the villages, Inhabitant of all concerned villages and elders

took part in the programme. The villagers appreciated the initiative taken by Swachhata programme

for clean and hygienic place surrounding them.

Surrounding to our Mining Lease area, we have provided Tree Guards, CC Roads, Plantation in

the school Compound & Road, Sanitation of Roads, Drainage system, Street Lights to the

villages etc.
