More than one in four UK workers fearlosing their jobs within next six monthsA NEW survey reveals that more than one infour (29 per cent) UK employees fear losingtheir job in the next six months, an increaseof eight percentage points from the Q1 2014survey.

The Glassdoor jobs and careers communityQ2 2014 UK Employment Confidence Sur-vey, conducted online by Harris Interactive

among UK employees, monitors four key in-dicators of employee confidence: job security,salary expectations, job market optimism/re-hire probability and business outlookoptimism. While 29 per cent of employees areconcerned that they themselves may be maderedundant, even more, 36 per cent, are alsoconcerned about co-workers being made re-dundant. This figure has also risen since lastquarter, by one percentage point. Employeesin London are most concerned about losingtheir jobs, as half (49 per cent) of employeesare worried that they could be laid off, whilemore than half (57 per cent) are concerned

about co-workers being made redundant.Forty six percent of younger employees(those aged 16-24) are concerned about beingmade redundant themselves, the highest ofany age group.

The main reason that people are worry-ing about their jobs more may well be theincreasing amount of restructuring that

employees are seeing in the workplace. Re-gional job losses are still being widelyreported and this is prompting employees tofeel less secure, said Jon Ingham, Glassdoorcareer and workplace expert. Employerswill benefit from communicating openlyabout the specific circumstances of their ownbusinesses, involving employees where thereare issues and problems, and communicatingconfidently where there are already positivechanges underway or there are signs of newopportunities for the future. Only three inten (29 per cent) employees (employed full orpart-time or self-employed) report optimism

that they could find a job matched to their ex-perience and current compensation levels inthe next six months if they were to lose theircurrent job, down one percentage point sincelast quarter. Full-time employees (32 per cent)are more confident than part-time employees(20 per cent) when it comes to finding a newjob within six months.

As for how UK employees feel about howtheir companys business will perform in thenext six months, most employees appear tobe cautiously optimistic. More than half ofemployees (58 per cent) believe their com-panys business outlook will stay the same,up two percentage points since last quarter.One in three (32 per cent)employees (including thoseself-employed) believe theircompanys business outlookwill improve in the nextsix months, also down twopercentage points. Only one

in ten (10 per cent) believe it will gWhen it comes to how optimistic

employees are surrounding a paycost-of-living increase, nearly twoper cent) employees expect to recein the next 12 months, an increasepercentage points. When comparitype of employee, nearly one in fo

cent) part-time employees expect compared to two in five (41 per cenemployees. Fifty-seven per cent ofin the North East expect to receivcompared to just 26 per cent in theWest, those being the most and leatic regions, respectively.

We are currently seeking a full time Field Sales representative

The Role

Working towards an individual sales target you will be expected to be

resourceful and self motivated. Sourcing and canvassing new clients to

introduce to our portfolio and in-turn being proactive and creative in finding

solutions to their advertising and marketing needs. This will run in sync with

the ongoing management of existing, established clients, ensuring they are

receiving the best possible value from our product portfolio.

The Person

As a Field Sales Representative you will need to be self motivated and driven

towards achieving revenue targets. Confidence in working under your own

initiative is essential, although there will be occasions that you are required

to work on team projects.

Time management is key to this role, along with being able to adhere to

rigid deadlines. Previous sales and/or customer service experience could be

advantageous, although this is not an essential requirement as a comprehensive

training programme is in place.The Package

In return the successful candidate can expect to receive:

A Basic Salary 15,500k plus an additional uncapped bonus potential
