TRAFFIC) ORDER 2014Notice is hereby given that the Newport CityCouncil in exercise of its powers under the RoadTraffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) hasmade an order the effect of which is to prohibit anyvehicle proceeding along Church Lane Marshfieldfrom its southern junction with Marshfield Road fora distance of approximately 50 metres.
The alternative route is via Marshfield Road andthe northern junction of Church Lane.
The reason for making the order is to enable anew highway drainage connection to be made ona road too narrow to maintain vehicular traffic.
The order is operative from 22nd April 2014and will continue in force for a period notexceeding 18 months or until the works which itis proposed to carry out have been completed,whichever is the earlier.
It is anticipated that the works will be completedwithin 5 days.
Pedestrian access will be available, and emergencyvehicle access will be available or quickly madeavailable except during the evening.
