1.2. Scope

This document provides a functional description of the file format that is used to provide acommon method of transferring a transmission schedule list from a third-party trafficsystem to the Pro-Bel Automation System.

It is intended that this document supersedes SW-P-49 for the current range of automationproducts refer to reference !.

1.3. Caveat

This file format does not provide any mechanism for accounting for changes in daylightsaving time.

1.4. Reading The Schedule File

This note is designed to aid implementers of this "protocol".

#e$ fields are al$ays appended to the end of the event line record the e%isting event lineformat does not change to provide compati&ility $ith previous versions. It is thereforerecommended that all the characters up to the end of line mar'er are read and then thefields re(uired &eing e%tracted from their 'no$n positions.

)odifications to e%isting fields are made &y the appending of ne$ fields to the end of theevent record line effectively ma'ing the e%isting fields redundant.

*onversion programs can &e supplied to convert the ne$ standard into the old standard+refer to reference three,.

2.1. Schedule File "ame

The schedule file name may &e named in any manner accepted &y #T or )S-S aslong as the e%tension on the file name is "lst".

2.2. Schedule File Format

The file format is an AS*II te%t file. The tilde character 123 should not &e included into anyte%tual field.

The data is stored $ithin the file as individual lines of printa&le AS*II characters and can

therefore &e vie$ed $ith any te%t editor. The line delimiter is ta'en as the pair "rn"+carriage return and ne$ line,.

The first character of each data line determines the type of data held on that line. nlyt$o line formats are currently supported $ith a "2" indicating a data line and any othercharacter indicating a comment line.
