Important Safeguards and Warnings 1.Electrical safety All installation and operation here should conform to local electrical safety codes. We assume no liability or responsibility for all the fires or electrical shock caused by improper handling or installation. 2.Transportation security Heavy stress, violent vibration or water splash are not allowed during transportation, storage and installation. 3.Installation Keep upwards. Handle with care. Do not apply power to the DVR before completing installation. Do not place objects on the DVR 4.Qualified engineers needed All the examination and repair work should be done by the qualified service engineers. We are nor liable for any problems caused by unauthorized modifications or attempted repair. 5.Environment The DVR should be installed in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, inflammable, explosive substances and etc. The power supply is DC 12V 3A, please use power supply from the whole package you purchased. Don’t insert metal into the DVR, this action maybe will cause an electric shock Don’t poll liquid into the DVR, this action maybe will cause short circuit inside the DVR. Keep the products clean and dry. Never hot plug any hardware; this action maybe will damage the ports of them.. Please use the standard lithium battery. If the system clock can not work, please replace the standard 3 V lithium batteries on the motherboard.

Open the upper case of system and install hard disk on the four position holes. Connect the power line and the date line to the motherboard.(Support the SATA and IDE Hard

disk, two HDD can work together) Tighten the screws after fixing the upper case, press the switch button to run the system.

Remark: Please use the incidental power supply ; if use other power supply ,maybe it will cause some problems

2.4 Connect Audio and Video Input/Output

Connect video signal from the BNC interface to the video interface of the back panel, use the video line to connect the video output to VGA interface.

Connect the audio signal from AV interface to the audio interface of the back panel, use audio line to connect the audio output to the speaker.

2.5 Boot /Format Hard Disk

Enter the start menu after starting run this system

Check the hard disk automatically, and the system will pops-up a window to remind user if to format the HDD or not, press [OK/PTZ] to confirm format the hard disk.

After formatting the Hard disk, user can enter into the preview menu.

3.2 Channel setup

(▲/▼/ / ) to choose channel [OK] to confirm open or close If close the channel ,it will show “ NO VIDEO”

3.3 Recorder setup

frame rate.

3.4 Record frame rate setup

3.5 Record quality

Press [OK] to choose video quality grade for recording: High 、middle、low.

The higher of the video quality grade, the better of video quality, the bigger of the size of recorded file

3.6 Schedule

Setup the record mode from every hour to 24 hours (▲、▼、▼、 / ) to choose time ,[ok] to choose the record mode,

repeat [OK] to switch the record mode;

( ) no record,( ) record: normal record ( )Sensor record:motion detection record and alarm record

Remark: After setting the schedule, press ( REC) , the setup will take effect, otherwise it will not start to record.

3.7 Sensor Setup

Sensor record time: set record time if the alarm triggered. Alarm on time: choose the alarm time if the alarm triggered. There are three options: when it is ON, the system will not stop

recording nor alarming. When it is OFF, the system will not record nor alarm. When it is any time of (5,10,15,20,25,30s), it will record or alarm according to the set time

H/W Sensor Setup: choose channel for alarm mode Select “on” to enable the alarm, select” not installed “ to disable

3.8 Hard drive setup

Overwrite Enabled: the recorded file will be deleted if the hard driver is full after selecting “Yes” ; the system will stop recording

Remark: Connect 2pcs hard disks, support SATA and IDE at the same time . HDD can be more than 320 G

detection. Sensitivity of motion detection: 0,1,2,3. Select 0 to cancel the motion detesensitivity. [STOP] to choose the sensitivity

and the recorded file will not be deleted even if the hard driver ifull after selecting “No” Display the information and capacity of the hard disk and use information

Hard disk format: format the hard disk and all data on hard diwill be deleted.

The default password to format the hard disk is: 111111

3.9 Miscellaneous setup

Change Password: change the system password, the default password is : 111111

NOTE: If user forgets the password, just take off the button battery on the motherboard and re-install it 10 minutes later. Re-start the system, it will recover to the default password.

Set time: (▲、▼、 / ) to choose time ,[OK] to change number.

Hidden channel: If one channel is hidden, user can not get video on the preview menu but could record normally,[OK] to choose the channel that you want to hidden.

Audio port setup: select the audio channel, choose (on/off) to record with audio or not.

NOTE: The system has 2 audio input, 1 audio output. If user want to listen the audio from another channel, press [AUDIO]button on the control to switch the channel to listen-in, press [MUTE] to on/off the audio .

PTZ Setup

Speed: 2400,4800,9600,19200,38400(for option),press(OK)to choose

Protocol: PELCO-D,PELCO-P for option;press(OK)to choose.

Channel: choose the channel with PTZ camera,[OK] to choose.

Address:( / )to choose address

NOTE: PELCO-D to choose 1, PELCO-P to choose address 2

● Language setup:[OK] to choose language, support Chinese and English

3.10 Network setup

MAC: the physical address , (▲、▼)to choose number,[OK] to confirm.

NOTE: MAC address should be start from”00”; the rest number can not be all “00”nor“FF”. There will not exist the same MAC address in the same network .

1. Type the IP address of DVR, User will get remind of downloading an ActiveX, please press “confirm”, and

Chapter 7 System Mode The DVR supports PAL and NTSC format. Before delivering, it should be set with correct system according to different market. Once user receives DVR with improper system, user can adjust the correct system through the jump line on the motherboard JS1.
