Piano or keyboard— In choosing a keyboard instrument be sure to consult the experts partners at Piano Central. If you already have an acoustic piano, be sure it is in good condition and in tune. Your digital piano should have 88 full-size keys, weighted keys that are velocity-sensitive, and at least two attached pedals. The instrument should not be on a stand.

For tunings and repair, PCS recommends Mr. Sam Taylor at 288-2353.

Suzuki books—your teacher will purchase these for you and PCS will bill your account

Suzuki CDs—your teacher will also purchase these and PCS will bill your account

Bench Adjusters—helps to adjust the piano to fit your child’s size more accurately, please ask your teacher for her recommendations

Metronome—helps your child internalize the beat and develop strong rhythmic skills

Music bag— helps make transporting books from home to lessons easier and can also help keep books organized at home (when they’re not being used for practicing, of course!)

Assignment book—provided by PCS, but make sure to bring it to every lesson
