N TRIP 2014

Objectives To foster an international awareness

To develop and teach pupils to be culturally savvy

To develop self-reliance, independence and adaptability

To provide opportunities for pupils to experience school life in

China and to interact with the Chinese counterparts

To broaden pupils knowledge in the Chinese Culture and

language

To broaden pupils Science knowledge

Day 1

Shanghai Maglev Train

We went to the Shanghai Pudong International Airport Maglev

Train Station.

Wuzhen Ancient Town

After a 2-hour long journey, we were greeted by the amazing

scenery of Wuzhen.

Day 2

Southern Song Dynasty

Guan Kiln Museum

We had fun at the DIY session

where we made our masterpieces

with dough and then put into an

oven to heat them up.

Dragon Well

We went to the Dragon Well to taste some longjing tea. It was a

great experience to taste one of the many famous teas in China.

Day 3

Yue Wang Temple

This temple was built

in tribute to Yue Fei, a

general from ancient

China.

Pan Men

Pan Men is the only

existing water and

land gate.

Day 4

Suzhou District Golden

After a three-day

immersion

programme, it

was finally time

to say goodbye to

our buddies.

Shanghai Science and

Technology Museum

The museum had countless amounts of learning points for

everyone.

Oriental Pearl TV Tower

The view from the tower was

extremely breathtaking. Beautiful

city lights awed many people.

Food

Our reflections on the trip to Suzhou, Shanghai

and Hangzhou!● We learnt a lot about China’s culture, it was extremely

interesting.

● We also improved our Mandarin and learnt a lot of Science

knowledge.

● Other than learning, we made some new friends in Suzhou

New District Golden Primary School, we had fun with them

during the lessons.

● We also had fun in getting to know each other better and

take care of one another.

● Obviously, each and everyone of us learnt how to show the

school values during the trip in various ways!
