Transport plays a crucial role in urban development by providing access
for people to work, education, healthcare, recreation and other key
services. One of the biggest challenges is how to plan, deliver and invest
in infrastructure for sustainable urban transport. And meeting these
challenges will require a transformation to the way in which urban
transport is managed.

SustainableUrban Transport Malaysia Awards
Supported by the Ministry of Transport Malaysia, the Sustainable Urban Transport Awards 2017 will take place at the Matrade Exhibition & Convention Centre, Kuala Lumpur.
The awards celebrates the successes that have been achieved on so many national and local transport projects that contributed to the societal well-being. As always, these projects have shown the judges the tangible results they've achieved, improving the experience for their transport users and ultimately adding to the successful development of the nation’s transport sustainable urban transport infrastructure.
The awards recognises excellence in transport and reward innovation and progress for sustainable urban transport initiatives which are really working in Kuala Lumpur and Malaysia.
The Sustainable Urban Transport Awards are pivotal in recognising the talent, energy and drive that our city's transport professionals devote to delivering millions of safe journeys every day.
This is a huge challenge to meet - the Capital is growing at a phenomenal rate. Record numbers of customers and users rely on our public transport and road networks to get around the city every day. Everyone working in transport – whether planning the services, building the routes, repairing the trains or pulling together the customer information, connecting logistics, aeropolis infrastructure and airway connectivity – has a role to play in ensuring Kuala Lumpur and Malaysia thrives.
The Sustainable Urban Transport Awards recognises and celebrate these efforts, right across the Capital of Kuala Lumpur.
