STEP 1: INDIVIDUAL REFLECTION ON SERVING TRANSPORTATION NEEDS

Take a few minutes to jot down your thoughts about what you saw.

Who?

What?

Where?

Why?

How?

Page 24: SUSTAINABLE INNOVATION FOR SUBSISTENCE …...Step 1: Observation Take notes individually Step 2: Idea Generation and Selection Focus on assigned chosen need Generate ideas individually

STEP 2: IDEA GENERATION AND SELECTION –15 MINUTES

Work on assigned problem

Work individually to write down or draw ideas on a sheet of paper – 5 minutes

Create 20+ ideas (that is 4+ per team member)

Write each idea down on a sheet of paper

Come together as a group to

Discuss the key design elements that the group likes

Go back to the problem and key issues/drivers as needed

Narrow down the ideas and select one idea – 10 minutes

Page 25: SUSTAINABLE INNOVATION FOR SUBSISTENCE …...Step 1: Observation Take notes individually Step 2: Idea Generation and Selection Focus on assigned chosen need Generate ideas individually

STEP 3: CONCEPT DETAILING AND FINAL PRESENTATIONS – 15 MINUTES

Draw out the concept on large sheet of paper while combining aspects of

other ideas – 5 minutes

Each team presents for 2 minutes

Present your concept

State how it addresses problem and key issues
