the project’s origin: the students’ questions
• Which fish and shellfish are OK to serve?• What does the Swedish fish industry look like?• How do our actions affect the future?• What are the alternatives?• How to connect the local community around this?
problem: the bank denied the funding application
•By “word of mouth” Lidköping’s environmental office advised the school to apply to the FLAG project accepted

Total project cost: €15,360; Axis 4 contribution: 50%
Project beneficiary: De La Gardie High School, Lidköping.
The project ‘s aims and outputs :
•Getting local fishermen, catering teachers and students to meet and build capacity around a common project
•Integrated into the school programme
•Raising awareness among the students, staff and personnel in the local restaurants of Lidköping about local species and their culinary value –
•providing new links between local demand and local sourcing
