sustainable design: color projectSpring 2008Recycled packaging, chocolate brown cloth

Every student picked a color and thoroughly research one aspect of it. This had to then transform to a reprensentation of the findingsvia research. My color was turquoise, or sometims known as Tiffany blue.While research this color i walked into a CVS and realised that almost all hygiene products came in a turquoise packaging, examples of which are shown below, that was probably just discarded.Since these packages were for hygine products i found this quite ironic as this was essentially polluting our universe or making it ‘unhygenic’. Trying to find an alternate use of the packaging i decided to weave a bag using only scrap packaging. This bag has a linig of a chocolate brown cloth.I used that color because i think they make a wonderful contrast.
