It now takes the earth already one year and six months to

regenerate what we use in a year. If current consumption

and production trends continue, by 2030, we will need the

equivalent of two Earths to support us.

SCP in brief – Harvesting the benefits!

SCP is a comprehensive cross-

cutting concept.

SCP aims to do “more and better

with less,” by reducing resource

use, degradation and pollution

along the life cycle of goods and

services.

It is anticipated that SCP will support the transition to a resource

efficient (green) economy, while turning environmental and social

an SCP perspective it is much desired that the plastic

manufacturers take responsibility in this respect.
