We hear lots regarding the handguns and the rifles that aresuggested for home defense and survival, however the shotgunis usually overlooked.

The shotgun, could in fact be the simplest and most versatilesurvival weapon of all. However, for home defense and urban or suburban civildisorder situations the shotgun has nice advantages overhandguns and carbines.
