    1. Stabilizes and controls the immediate hazard if possible (e.g. close valves). 2. Contacts Gas Control and the AOI Manager and gives the following information:

    a) Location of emergency. b) Dangers involved. c) Additional assistance and requirements. d) Activate emergency Management System

    3. Utilize First Responder Kit and Checklist to assist with all response activities. 4. Locate safe meeting place. 5. Ensure the safety of everyone on site. 6. Assign one person to locate anyone that might be missing. 7. Establish first aid stations. 8. Keep Gas Control updated as required during the emergency. 9. Assign a team to shut off the fuel sources if they can be shut down. 10. Initiate a written log of events that includes the times of events. 11. Forward any casualty information to the EOC Manager (not by mobile radio). 12. Follow the Acme Compressor Station evacuation procedure if evacuation is

    necessary.

    ONSITE SPILL HANDLING AND CONTAINMENT PLAN:

    To facilitate containment and clean up of minor spills utilize materials from the spill containment cabinet located in the safety room of this compressor station. Methane Accidental Release Measures: Avoid heat, flames, sparks and other sources of ignition. Stop leak if possible without personal risk. Keep people away; isolate hazard area and control entry. Remove sources of ignition. Methods for cleaning up – In the event of minor spillage:

    • Absorb in sand and other inert material. • Collect spilled material with shovel • Place into a clean container and cover container loosely • Clean up affected area with soap and water.

    Methods for cleaning up – In the event of major spillage:

    • Collect spilled material in seeable containers. • Clean up affected area with soap and water.

    During an emergency the Technician/First Responder:

    1. Stabilizes and controls the immediate hazard if possible (e.g. close valves). 2. Contacts Gas Control and the AOI Manager and gives the following information:

    a) Location of emergency. b) Dangers involved. c) Additional assistance and requirements. d) Activate emergency Management System

    3. Utilize First Responder Kit and Checklist to assist with all response activities. 4. Locate safe meeting place. 5. Ensure the safety of everyone on site. 6. Assign one person to locate anyone that might be missing. 7. Establish first aid stations. 8. Keep Gas Control updated as required during the emergency. 9. Assign a team to shut off the fuel sources if they can be shut down. 10. Initiate a written log of events that includes the times of events. 11. Forward any casualty information to the EOC Manager (not by mobile radio). 12. Follow the Beiseker Compressor Station evacuation procedure if evacuation is

    necessary.

    1. Stabilize and control the immediate hazard if possible (e.g. close valves). 2. Contact Gas Control and the Area Manager and gives the following information:

    a) Location of emergency. b) Dangers involved. c) Additional assistance and requirements. d) Activate emergency Management System

    3. Utilize First Responder Kit and Checklist to assist with all response activities. 4. Locate safe meeting place. 5. Ensure the safety of everyone on site. 6. Assign one person to locate anyone that might be missing. 7. Establish first aid stations. 8. Keep Gas Control updated as required during the emergency. 9. Assign a team to shut off the fuel sources if they can be shut down. 10. Initiate a written log of events that includes the times of events. 11. Forward any casualty information to the EOC Manager (not by mobile radio). 12. Follow the Didsbury Compressor Station evacuation procedure if evacuation is

    necessary.

    ONSITE SPILL HANDLING AND CONTAINMENT PLAN:

    To facilitate containment and clean up of minor spills utilize materials from the spill containment cabinet located in the safety room of this compressor station. Methane Accidental Release Measures: Avoid heat, flames, sparks and other sources of ignition. Stop leak if possible without personal risk. Keep people away; isolate hazard area and control entry. Remove sources of ignition. Methods for cleaning up – In the event of minor spillage:

    • Absorb in sand and other inert material. • Collect spilled material with shovel • Place into a clean container and cover container loosely • Clean up affected area with soap and water.

    Methods for cleaning up – In the event of major spillage:

    • Collect spilled material in seeable containers. • Clean up affected area with soap and water.

    During an emergency the Technician/First Responder will:

    1. Stabilize and control the immediate hazard if possible (e.g. close valves). 2. Contact Gas Control and the Area Manager and gives the following information:

    a) Location of emergency. b) Dangers involved. c) Additional assistance and requirements. d) Activate emergency Management System

    3. Utilize First Responder Kit and Checklist to assist with all response activities. 4. Locate safe meeting place. 5. Ensure the safety of everyone on site. 6. Assign one person to locate anyone that might be missing. 7. Establish first aid stations. 8. Keep Gas Control updated as required during the emergency. 9. Assign a team to shut off the fuel sources if they can be shut down. 10. Initiate a written log of events that includes the times of events. 11. Forward any casualty information to the EOC Manager (not by mobile radio). 12. Follow the Clearwater Compressor Station evacuation procedure if evacuation is

    necessary.

Methane Accidental Release Measures: Avoid heat, flames, sparks and other sources of ignition. Stop leak if possible without personal risk. Keep people away; isolate hazard area and control entry. Remove sources of ignition. Methods for cleaning up – In the event of minor spillage:

    • Absorb in sand and other inert material. • Collect spilled material with shovel • Place into a clean container and cover container loosely • Clean up affected area with soap and water.
