From these results, I made the decision to ensure I included a powerful main image as it is clear that it is the main convention that grabs the attention of a potential reader.

These results suggest that contrasting coloursare the more preferable option that appeal to my target audience. I have done this in my magazine by using gold and grey.

These results definitely influenced the costume I chose to wear as many artists choose to dress formally in magazines to give the perception of wealth. However, informal fashion is the assumption made on hip-hop artists.

These results further emphasise the importance of a powerful main image to produce a successful magazine front cover.

Here, I was stuck between deciding to include a free poster or free music CD in my magazine. In the end I chose not to include a ‘freeby’ as in my magazine of inspiration, they did not offer a freeby. Instead I chose to offer a competition which offered the winner a free signed copy of Eminem’s new album; which was released at the time of production.

This result influenced me to include a competition in relation to a ‘freeby’. I came to the decision of allowing readers the chance to win a free music CD through a competition.
