‘Having a home is a source of great joy, of stability and
of peace ~ and I think this is a vital ingredient to
living a happy and productive life in our
modern and frenetic world.’
Peter Israel, Principal Architect
THE BUILDINGIn a show of urban renewal, Golf House is transforming this untouched Surry Hills address with innovative architectural design and premium ground floor retail space.
For decades, the site was home to Sharpie’s Golf House, a Sydney institution with its neon sign becoming a cultural landmark piece now forming part of a collection at Sydney’s Powerhouse Museum. With such historic significance, this heritage site breathes a past life into the new walls of this building with the name Golf House paying homage to its heritage.
The vision was to create a building with character and industrial materials such as brick, copper and timber that speak to the history of the area. Intricate copper detailing features throughout the building’s façade and creates a bold statement within the vibrant inner city suburb of Surry Hills. This, combined with the practicality and modern layout of a new apartment makes for a welcoming home rich with Surry Hills charm.
Golf House has an underground carpark with car spaces for all two and three bedroom residences; an essential feature for inner city living. The secure car park will be fitted with the latest automatic number plate recognition for ease and efficiency.
The ground floor of Golf House will come to life with a thriving space of food and drink as some of the city’s top cafés and restaurants make Surry Hills their new home.
A tranquil roof deck featuring lush greenery and views towards the iconic central station clock tower, provides a space for those wanting to relax and unwind or entertain with friends and family.
URBAN TRANQUILLITYResidents will enjoy undisrupted views towards Sydney CBD from Golf House’s private rooftop oasis surrounded by luscious greenery.
THE HEART OF THE HOME Spacious and considered, the open plan kitchen, living and dining a truly stunning centrepiece to the Golf House residences.
CONTEMPORARYLIVING AT ITS BESTThe Golf House residences offer one, two and three bedroom residences thoughtfully designed by renowned PTI Architecture, in collaboration with Collette Dinnigan.
Each of the 46 residences feature floor to ceiling window panelling and doors opening onto spacious balconies, many with city views, allowing natural light from north and west facing aspects to stream through.
The use of warm textured materials such as copper, recycled timber flooring and the fresh, contemporary tones of the finishes provide a stylish start to the home.
The kitchens feature impressive Carrara marble benchtops and splashbacks, paired with timeless tapware and the streamlined integration of state-of-the-art Miele appliances.
The flow of rooms through the residences has been designed to create practical space in the living and kitchen areas with ample storage and a considered layout.
Collette Dinnigan’s inspiration to create a luxurious liveable space that truly feels like a home has come to life with Golf House.
ELEGANCE MEETS EFFICIENCYA classic and timeless design featuring an all marble vanity and a single slab of marble to the main feature wall together with a two tone marble floor and high quality fittings creates a bathroom that is both elegant and contemporary.
