There is a LOT going on in our world, coun-

try, communities, and homes that is contrib-

uting to a heavy mental load, but the Sur-

prise team knows how to lift spirits. At the

end of April, the branch decided to put to-

gether a Spirit Week to bring a little fun to

the office. The idea originated in the mind of

Becca Cossey, but the whole team contrib-

uted their brilliant suggestions to come up

with an outrageously fun mash-up of spirit

day themes.

Yasmine Cornejo said, “At that time we

found ourselves with an excessive amount

of opinions, negativity and stressful news

everywhere we looked. Being one that be-

lieves in the importance of having not only a

healthy body, but also a healthy mind, I de-

cided that I would flood the Surprise Face-

book page with laughter, light and a little

fun to wrap up the month for our real estate

community. Think of it as a little shock ther-

apy that would make someone do a double

take and make them happy they did.”

Because of COVID-19 procedures, not all of

the Surprise Team is working in the office

and this was a way people in the office and

at home were able to dress up and share

their spirit and smiling faces with one an-

other and their community.

The team did not let the opportunity to en-

gage their community go to waste. On Nerd

Day, they made it all about educating their

customers on important topics like Wire

Transfer Fraud, including trivia questions

and all! In fact, they hosted trivia questions

every day and turned it into a giveaway for a

gift basket that included a lot of goodies,

but perhaps most coveted, rolls of toilet

paper!

Overall, the team and customers both found

the week a refreshing jolt of positivity. Yas-

mine continued, “It reminds us that WE control how we feel, how we

work, and it’s ok to be human. It is a privilege to be employed during

these abnormal times, and a blessing to have a little family at work like

this. Having fun and laughing is great, but making others share in the joy

and laughter is so much sweeter.”

Spirit week is not the only example of the Surprise team getting creative.

Check out this funny Tik Tok video they put together showcasing the vari-

ous array of Pioneer Title branded swag they have available.

The creativity, positivity, and the individuals that make up the Surprise

team and all our branches across the state make Pioneer Title a little

different. The willingness to use those differences, play to strengths, and

share unique perspectives is the reason the PTA (and YTA!!!) family is so

special!
