1st step Wash the hands thoroughly with a mild washing lotion. Afterwards rinse the hands tho- roughly. 2nd step Dry the hands with a disposable or sterile towel. 3rd step Put the hand disinfectant from the dispenser into the dry, hollow hand. 4th step Rub the disinfectant onto the hands and forearms up to the elbows during 1.5 to 3 minutes (depending on the preparation). Keep hands and forearms during this entire residence time wet. 5th step Disinfect the hands systematical- ly. Follow the standard rub-in- method of the hygienic hand disinfection. 6th step Keep the hands above the elbow level. Before putting on the Op-gloves the hands must be air-dry. Standard rub-in-method for the surgical hand disinfection according to EN 12791 - with the beginning of the shift, but at latest before puing on the Op-clothing the hands should be washed because of alcoholic hand disinfectants are not sporicidal Surgical Hand Disinfection
