VISUAL ANALYSIS

CASA Vision

College plays an important role in achieving the qualities such as ‘an attitude to face the

world’, ‘an attitude of learning’, ‘sensitivity towards our design’, ‘improving the quality of

life of an individual’.

Architecture College itself should be designed in such a way that will help the students to

provoke their creativity, perception, sensitivity, materials, and feeling of spaces, lighting,

anthropometry, and inter-connection between internal and external spaces, many more

things. Thus this will help to increase the interaction between students of all years and

between professors and students. But the architecture colleges today are just like tower,

lack of interaction spaces, no connectivity between indoor and outdoor spaces, landscaping

features are not named, design of a college should attract students. Furniture of an

architecture college should also be design carefully. Workshop areas are lacking in the

colleges so that hand on experience with materials lack behind.

SITE ANALYSIS

It is a sloping quite sloping site, there

are two slight valleys on it , and one

large ridge. As shown in relief map,

there are two rocky out-cut , app

5m in height on the site.

Vegetation is seen on the south-

west part of the site , adjacent to

the sea.

Goa features a tropical monsoon climate

under the Köppen climate classification. Goa,

being in the tropical zone and near the

Arabian Sea, has a hot and humid climate for

most of the year. The month of May is the

hottest, seeing day temperatures of over 35 °C

(95 °F) coupled with high humidity. The

monsoon rains arrive by early June and

provide a much needed respite from the heat.

Most of Goa's annual rainfall is

received through the monsoons which last till

late September.

Goa has a short winter season between mid-

December andFebruary. These months are

marked by nights of around 21 °C (70 °F) and

days of around 28 °C (82 °F) with moderate amounts of humidity.

OPTION 2

Option 1 -

In this option the volumes

are arranged in linear

pattern. forming small

courtyards in between,

and the spaces arranged

on opposite sides of the

central spine.

here almost all the spaces

are on same level.

Option-2

in this option symmetrical and rigid pattern was followed.

Again here the spaces were arranged along a axis, forming one large

courtyard and other small courtyards, here the volumes are at three

different levels.

And all the classrooms and studios facing the large open space and

sea. Different explorations were made in from

configurations, with respect to

appropriateness of form to function, site and

user.

In which patterns like linear, radial were

explored. with respect to its proportion and

order of built-unbuilt.
