Súrah al-`Ankabút (The Spider)

In the name of Alláh the Beneficent, the Merciful.



ý1þ ÈÂB

Alif Lám Mím. (29:1)



åÈâÎáÑ CáäËáÆD BÒâÂÒâ»áÖ ÉáF BÒâ¾áoåXâÖ ÉáF

ârCáäËÂB áSãtácáFý2þ áÉÒâËáXå·âÖ áÙ

Do people think that they will be left alone on saying, we believe, and they will not be

tried? (29:2)



áÌÖãmáäÂB âÐáäÃÂB áäÌáÇáÃå¯á×áÃá¶ åÈãÏãÃåRáº ÌãÆ áÌÖãmáäÂB CáäËáXá¶ åká»áÂáÑ

ý3þ áÌ×ãQãlCá¿åÂB áäÌáÇáÃå¯á×áÂáÑ BÒâºáká{

Certainly We have tried those before them, and surely Alláh knows those who are true, and He

knows the liars. (29:3)



CáÆ ACás CáÊÒâ»ãRåtáÖ ÉáF ãVCáNãä×áätÂB áÉÒâÃáÇå¯áÖ

áÌÖãmáäÂB áSãtác åÅáFý4þ áÉÒâÇâ¿ådáÖ

Or do those who do evil think they will escape us? Evil is what they judge! (29:4)



áÒâÎáÑ èVáÝ ãÐáäÃÂB áÄá_áF áäÉãIá¶ ãÐáäÃÂB ACá»ãÂ

Òâ_åoáÖ áÉCá¾ ÌáÆý5þ âÈ×ãÃá¯åÂB â°×ãÇáätÂB

Whoever hopes for the meeting with Alláh, then surely the term appointed with Alláh

will come, and He is the All Hearing, All Knowing. (29:5)



ãÌá® çäØãËá³áÂ áÐáäÃÂB áäÉãH ãÐãtå·áËãÂ âkãÎCá`âÖ

CáÇáäÊãIá¶ ákáÎCá_ ÌáÆáÑý6þ áÌ×ãÇáÂCá¯åÂB

Whoever strives, strives only for himself. Certainly Alláh is self sufficient, above (the

needs of) the worlds. (29:6)



åÈãÏãWCáNãä×ás åÈâÏåËá® áäÉáoãä·á¿âËáÂ ãVCádãÂCáä|ÂB

BÒâÃãÇá®áÑ BÒâËáÆD áÌÖãmáäÂBáÑ

ý7þ áÉÒâÃáÇå¯áÖ BÒâÊCá¾ ÕãmáäÂB áÌátåcáF åÈâÏáäËáÖãqå`áËáÂáÑ

Those who believe and do good, We will certainly do away with their evil deeds, and We will reward them

the best of what they did. (29:7)



CæËåtâc ãÐåÖákãÂBáÒãQ áÉCátÊãåßB

CáËå×áä{áÑáÑ

And We have enjoined on man goodness to his parents.



çÈåÃã® ãÐãQ áÀáÂ áuå×áÂ CáÆ ØãQ á½ãoåxâXãÂ á½BákáÎCá_

ÉãHáÑCáÇâÏå¯ã§âW áÚá¶

If they strive (to force) you to associate (others) with Me, of which you have no

knowledge, do not obey them.



ý8þ áÉÒâÃáÇå¯áW åÈâXËâ¾ CáÇãQ Èâ¿âNãäRáÊâGá¶ åÈâ¿â¯ã_åoáÆ áäØáÂãH

To Me is your return, then I will inform you of what you did. (29:8)



Øã¶ åÈâÏáäËáÃãgåkâËáÂ ãVCádãÂCáä|ÂB BÒâÃãÇá®áÑ

BÒâËáÆD áÌÖãmáäÂBáÑý9þ áÌ×ãdãÂCáä|ÂB

And those who believe and do good deeds, We will cause them to enter among the

good. (29:9)



ãÐáäÃÂCãQ CáäËáÆD âÁÒâ»áÖ ÌáÆ ãrCáäËÂB

áÌãÆáÑ

And among men are those who say; we believe in Alláh.



ãÐáäÃÂB ãPBámá¯á¾ ãrCáäËÂB áUáËåXã¶ áÄá¯á_

ãÐáäÃÂB Øã¶ áÕãlÑâF BálãIá¶á

But when they are persecuted in the way of Alláh they think the persecution of

men to be punishment of Alláh.



åÈâ¿á¯áÆ CáäËâ¾ CáäÊãH áäÌâÂÒâ»á×áÂ ÀãäQáän

ÌãäÆ çoå|áÊ ACá_ ÌãNáÂáÑ

But if there came help from your Lord, they would certainly say, surely we are

with you.



ý10þ áÌ×ãÇáÂCá¯åÂB ãnÑâkâ{ Øã¶ CáÇãQ

áÈáÃå®áGãQ âÐáäÃÂB áuå×áÂáÑáF

What! Is not Alláh the best knower of what is in the hearts of mankind? (29:10)



ý11þ áÌ×ã»ã¶CáËâÇåÂB áäÌáÇáÃå¯á×áÂáÑ BÒâËáÆD

áÌÖãmáäÂB âÐáäÃÂB áäÌáÇáÃå¯á×áÂáÑ

Most certainly Alláh knows those who believe and most certainly He knows the

hypocrites. (29:11)



CáËáÃ×ãRás BÒâ¯ãRáäWB BÒâËáÆD áÌÖãmáäÃãÂ

BÑâoá·á¾ áÌÖãmáäÂB áÁCáºáÑåÈâ¾CáÖCá§ág åÄãÇådáËåÂáÑ

Those who disbelieve say to those who believe; follow our path, and we will bear

your wrongs.



èAåØáw ÌãäÆ ÈâÎCáÖCá§ág åÌãÆ áÌ×ãÃãÆCádãQ ÈâÎ CáÆáÑ

ý12þ áÉÒâQãlCá¿áÂ åÈâÏáäÊãH

Never shall they be the bearers of any of their wrongs; surely they are the liars. (29:12)



áäÌâÂáGåtâ×áÂáÑ åÈãÏãÂCá»å[áF á°áäÆ æÙCá»å[áFáÑ åÈâÏáÂCá»å[áF

áäÌâÃãÇådá×áÂáÑý13þ áÉÑâoáXå·áÖ BÒâÊCá¾

CáäÇá® ãUáÆCá×ã»åÂB áÅåÒáÖ

They shall carry their own burdens, and other burdens with their burdens, and they shall be

questioned on the Day of Judgement as to what they forged. (29:13)



èUáËás á¸åÂáF åÈãÏ×ã¶ á]ãRáÃá¶ ãÐãÆåÒáº ÔáÂãH CæcÒâÊ

CáËåÃásånáF åká»áÂáÑCæÆCá® áÌ×ãtåÇág áäÙãH

We sent Nú< to his people, and he remained among them a thousand but fifty years.



ý14þ áÉÒâÇãÂCáª åÈâÎáÑ âÉCá¶Òâä§ÂB âÈâÎámágáGá¶

Then the flood seized them while they were unjust. (29:14)



æUáÖD CáÎCáËåÃá¯á_áÑ ãUáË×ã·áätÂB áPCádå{áFáÑ

âÍCáËå×á`ÊáGá¶ý15þ áÌ×ãÇáÂCá¯åÃãäÂ

We delivered him and the inmates of the ark, and We made it (the ark) a sign for the

people of the worlds. (29:15)



åÈâ¿ãÂál âÍÒâ»áäWBáÑ áÐáäÃÂB BÑâkâRå®B ãÐãÆåÒá»ãÂ áÁCáº

ålãH áÈ×ãÎBáoåQãHáÑý16þ áÉÒâÇáÃå¯áW åÈâXËâ¾ ÉãH

åÈâ¿áäÂ çoå×ág

And (remember) Ibráhím when he said to his people: Worship Alláh and fear Him, that is

better for you if only you knew. (29:16)



Cæ¿å¶ãH áÉÒâ»âÃåháWáÑ CæÊCá[åÑáF ãÐáäÃÂB ãÉÑâj ÌãÆ áÉÑâkâRå¯áW CáÇáäÊãH

You only worship idols besides Alláh, and you create a lie;



Cæºåpãn åÈâ¿áÂ áÉÒâ¿ãÃåÇáÖ áÙ ãÐáäÃÂB ãÉÑâj ÌãÆ

áÉÑâkâRå¯áW áÌÖãmáäÂB áäÉãH

Surely those whom you worship besides Alláh do not control sustenance for you.



ãÐå×áÂãH âÐáÂ BÑâoâ¿åwBáÑ âÍÑâkâRå®BáÑ á¹åpãäoÂB

ãÐáäÃÂB ákËã® BÒâ³áXåQCá¶ý17þ áÉÒâ¯á_åoâW

Therefore seek the sustenance from Alláh, and worship Him and be grateful to Him; to Him

you shall return. (29:17)



åÈâ¿ãÃåRáº ÌãäÆ çÈáÆâF áPáämá¾ åká»á¶

BÒâQãämá¿âW ÉãHáÑ

If you deny (the truth), then surely nations before you have denied (the

truth),



ý18þ âÌ×ãRâÇåÂB â±áÚáRåÂB áäÙãH

ãÁÒâsáäoÂB ÔáÃá® CáÆáÑ

and nothing is incumbent on the Messenger except a clear delivering

(of the message). (29:18)



áäÉãH âÍâk×ã¯âÖ áäÈâ[ á¼åÃáhåÂB âÐáäÃÂB âLãkåRâÖ á¸å×á¾

BåÑáoáÖ åÈáÂáÑáFý19þ ço×ãtáÖ ãÐáäÃÂB ÔáÃá®

áÀãÂál

What! Do they not see how Alláh originates creation, then brings it back again? Indeed that

is easy for Alláh. (29:19)



á¼åÃáhåÂB áFákáQ á¸å×á¾ BÑâoâ«ÊCá¶ ã¡ånáåÛB Øã¶

BÑâo×ãs åÄâº

Say: Travel on the earth and see how He has originated the creation,



ÔáÃá® áÐáäÃÂB áäÉãH áTáoãgåÝB áTáGåxáäËÂB âOãxËâÖ âÐáäÃÂB áäÈâ[

ý20þ çoÖãkáº èAåØáw ãäÄâ¾

then Alláh causes another development; surely Alláh has power over all things.

(29:20)



ý21þ áÉÒâRáÃå»âW ãÐå×áÂãHáÑ ACáxáÖ ÌáÆ âÈácåoáÖáÑ ACáxáÖ ÌáÆ

ââPãämá¯âÖ

He punishes whom He pleases and has mercy on whom He pleases, and to Him you shall

be turned back. (29:21)



CáÆáÑ ACáÇáätÂB Øã¶ áÙáÑ ã¡ånáåÛB Øã¶ áÌÖãqã`å¯âÇãQ

ÈâXÊáF CáÆáÑý22þ èo×ã|áÊ áÙáÑ èäØãÂáÑ ÌãÆ

ãÐáäÃÂB ãÉÑâj ÌãäÆ Èâ¿áÂ

And you shall not escape on the earth nor in the heaven. You have neither a protector nor a

helper beside Alláh. (29:22)



ãÐãMCá»ãÂáÑ ãÐáäÃÂB ãVCáÖEãQ BÑâoá·á¾

áÌÖãmáäÂBáÑ

Those who disbelieve in the signs of Alláh, and the meeting with Him;



åÈâÏáÂ áÀãNáÂåÑâFáÑ ØãXáÇåcáän ÌãÆ BÒâtãNáÖ

áÀãNáÂåÑâFý23þ çÈ×ãÂáF çPBámá®

those are the ones who have despaired of My mercy, and those are the ones for whom

there is a painful punishment. (29:23)



âÍÒâºãäoác åÑáF âÍÒâÃâXåºB BÒâÂCáº ÉáF áäÙãH

ãÐãÆåÒáº áPBáÒá_ áÉCá¾ CáÇá¶

But his people did not reply him except to say: “slay him” or “burn him.”



èÅåÒá»ãäÂ èVCáÖáÝ áÀãÂál Øã¶ áäÉãH ãnCáäËÂB áÌãÆ âÐáäÃÂB âÍCá`ÊáGá¶ý24þ áÉÒâËãÆåKâÖ

Then Alláh delivered him from the fire. In this are signs for a people who believe. (29:24)



åÈâ¿ãËå×áQ áTáäjáÒáäÆ CæÊCá[åÑáF ãÐáäÃÂB ãÉÑâj ÌãäÆ ÈâWåmáháäWB CáÇáäÊãH áÁCáºáÑ

Cá×åÊâäkÂB ãTCá×ádåÂB Øã¶

He (Ibráhím) said: You have taken for yourselves idols besides Alláh, in friendship between

yourselves, in the life of this world.



âÌá¯åÃáÖáÑ è¤å¯áRãQ Èâ¿â£å¯áQ âoâ·å¿áÖ ãUáÆCá×ã»åÂB

áÅåÒáÖ áäÈâ[Cæ£å¯áQ Èâ¿â£å¯áQ

Then on the Day of Judgement, some of you will deny the others, and some of you will

curse the others.



ý25þ áÌÖãoã{CáäÊ ÌãäÆ Èâ¿áÂ CáÆáÑ ânCáäËÂB

âÈâ¾BáÑåGáÆáÑ

Your abode will be the fire and you shall not have any helpers. (29:25)



âqÖãqá¯åÂB áÒâÎ âÐáäÊãH ØãäQán ÔáÂãH çoã_CáÏâÆ ØãäÊãH

áÁCáºáÑ ç¥ÒâÂ âÐáÂ áÌáÆEá¶ý26þ âÈ×ã¿ádåÂB

And Lút believed in him. He said, ‘I flee to my Lord, surely He is the Mighty, the Wise.’

(29:26)



áTáäÒâRâäËÂB ãÐãXáäÖãänâl Øã¶ CáËåÃá¯á_áÑ áPÒâ»å¯áÖáÑ á¹CádåsãH âÐáÂ CáËåRáÎáÑáÑ

áPCáXã¿åÂBáÑ

We granted him Is<áq and Ya`qúb, and We placed Prophethood and the Book in his

progeny.



ãTáoãgåÝB Øã¶ âÐáäÊãHáÑ Cá×åÊâäkÂB Øã¶ âÍáoå_áF

âÍCáËå×áWDáÑý27þ áÌ×ãdãÂCáä|ÂB áÌãÇáÂ

We gave him his reward in the world, and indeed in the Hereafter he will be among the

righteous. (29:27)



Èâ¿á»áRás CáÆ áUáxãcCá·åÂB áÉÒâWåGáXáÂ åÈâ¿áäÊãH

ãÐãÆåÒá»ãÂ áÁCáº ålãH Cæ¦ÒâÂáÑý28þ áÌ×ãÇáÂCá¯åÂB áÌãäÆ èkácáF

åÌãÆ CáÏãQ

And (remember) Lút when he said to his people: you commit an indecency which none of the

people of the worlds has done. (29:28)



áÉÒâWåGáWáÑ áÄ×ãRáätÂB áÉÒâ¯á§å»áWáÑ áÁCá_ãäoÂB áÉÒâWåGáXáÂ åÈâ¿áäËãMáF

áoá¿ËâÇåÂB âÈâ¿ÖãjCáÊ Øã¶

What! Do you approach the males, and rob on the highway, and commit evil deeds in your

assemblies?



ãPBámá¯ãQ CáËãXåMB BÒâÂCáº ÉáF áäÙãH ãÐãÆåÒáº áPBáÒá_ áÉCá¾

CáÇá¶ý29þ áÌ×ãºãjCáä|ÂB áÌãÆ áYËâ¾ ÉãH

ãÐáäÃÂB

But his people did not answer except to say: ‘Bring us the punishment of Alláh if you are truthful.’

(29:29)



ý30þ áÌÖãkãtå·âÇåÂB ãÅåÒá»åÂB ÔáÃá®

ØãÊåoâ|ÊB ãäPán áÁCáº

He said: ‘My Lord, help me against the corrupt people.’ (29:30)



Òâ¿ãÃåÏâÆ CáäÊãH BÒâÂCáº ÓáoåxâRåÂCãQ áÈ×ãÎBáoåQãH CáËâÃâsân åVACá_ CáäÇáÂáÑ

ý31þ áÌ×ãÇãÂCáª BÒâÊCá¾ CáÏáÃåÎáF áäÉãH ãUáÖåoá»åÂB ãÍãmáÎ ãÄåÎáF

When our messengers came to Ibráhím with the good news, they said: ‘We are going to destroy the people of this town, surely its people are unjust.’

(29:31)



CáÏ×ã¶ ÌáÇãQ âÈáÃå®áF âÌådáÊ BÒâÂCáº Cæ¦ÒâÂ

CáÏ×ã¶ áäÉãH áÁCáº

He (Ibráhím) said: Amongst them is Lút. They said: ‘We know better who is

amongst them.



ý32þ áÌÖãoãQCá³åÂB áÌãÆ åYáÊCá¾ âÐáWáFáoåÆB

áäÙãH âÐáÃåÎáFáÑ âÐáäËá×ãä`áËâËáÂ

We will deliver him and his followers, except his wife; she shall be of those who

remain behind.’ (29:32)



åÈãÏãQ á¹Cá¢áÑ åÈãÏãQ áAØãs Cæ¦ÒâÂ CáËâÃâsân åVACá_ ÉáF

CáäÇáÂáÑCæ®ånál

When our messengers came to Lút, he was grieved for them and felt powerless to

protect them.



áäÙãH áÀáÃåÎáFáÑ á½Òâä`áËâÆ CáäÊãH åÉáqådáW áÙáÑ å¸áháW

áÙ BÒâÂCáºáÑý33þ áÌÖãoãQCá³åÂB áÌãÆ åYáÊCá¾ áÀáWáFáoåÆB

They said: ‘Do not fear, or grieve. We will deliver you and your followers except your wife, she shall be of those who remain behind. (29:33)



ACáÇáätÂB áÌãäÆ Bæqå_ãn ãUáÖåoá»åÂB ãÍãmáÎ ãÄåÎáF ÔáÃá® áÉÒâÂãqËâÆ CáäÊãH

ý34þ áÉÒâ»âtå·áÖ BÒâÊCá¾ CáÇãQ

We are bringing down upon the people of this town a punishment from heaven for their

transgression.’ (29:34)



ý35þ áÉÒâÃã»å¯áÖ èÅåÒá»ãäÂ æUáËãä×áQ

æUáÖD CáÏåËãÆ CáËå¾áoáäW ká»áÂáÑ

And certainly We have left a clear sign of it for a people who understand. (29:35)



áÐáäÃÂB BÑâkâRå®B ãÅåÒáº CáÖ áÁCá»á¶ CæRå×á¯âw

åÈâÎCágáF áÌáÖåkáÆ ÔáÂãHáÑ

To Madyan (We sent) their brother Shu`ayb. He said: ‘O my people, worship

Alláh,



ã¡ånáåÛB Øã¶ BåÒá\å¯áW áÙáÑ áoãgåÝB áÅåÒá×åÂB

BÒâ_ånBáÑý36þ áÌÖãkãtå·âÆ

and hope for the last day and do not act corruptly on the earth, making mischief.

(29:36)



åÈãÎãnBáj Øã¶ BÒâdáRå{áGá¶ âUá·å_áäoÂB âÈâÏåWámágáGá¶

âÍÒâQáämá¿á¶ý37þ áÌ×ãÇã[Cá_

But they denied him, so a severe earthquake seized them and they became motionless in

their abodes. (29:37)



åÈãÏãËã¾CátáäÆ ÌãäÆ Èâ¿áÂ áÌáä×áRáäW káºáÑ

ájÒâÇá[áÑ BæjCá®áÑ

And (We destroyed the peoples of) `Ád and Thamúd, and this is clear to you

from their abodes.



ãÄ×ãRáätÂB ãÌá® åÈâÎáäká|á¶ åÈâÏáÂCáÇå®áF âÉCá§å×áäxÂB

âÈâÏáÂ áÌáäÖápáÑ ý38þ áÌÖãoã|åRáXåtâÆ

BÒâÊCá¾áÑ

Shay>án made their deeds fair seeming to them, so he kept them back from the path although

they had insight. (29:38)



ãVCáËãä×áRåÂCãQ ÔásÒâäÆ ÈâÎACá_ åká»áÂáÑ áÉCáÆCáÎáÑ

áÉåÒá®åoã¶áÑ áÉÑânCáºáÑý39þ áÌ×ã»ãQCás BÒâÊCá¾ CáÆáÑ ã¡ånáåÛB Øã¶ BÑâoáRå¿áXåsCá¶

And (We destroyed) Qárún, and Fir`aun and Hámán. Indeed Músá came to them with clear

signs but they were arrogant on earth, although they did not overtake (us). (29:39)



CæRã{Các ãÐå×áÃá® CáËåÃásånáF åÌáäÆ

ÈâÏåËãÇá¶ ãÐãRÊámãQ CáÊåmágáF æäÚâ¿á¶

So each We seized for his sin; among them was he on whom we sent a violent storm,



á¡ånáåÛB ãÐãQ CáËå·átág åÌáäÆ ÈâÏåËãÆáÑ âUádå×áä|ÂB

âÐåWámágáF åÌáäÆ ÈâÏåËãÆáÑ

and among them was he whom the blast seized, and among them was he whom we

caused to be swallowed by the earth,



Ìã¿áÂáÑ åÈâÏáÇãÃå«á×ãÂ âÐáäÃÂB áÉCá¾ CáÆáÑ CáËåºáoå²áF åÌáäÆ

ÈâÏåËãÆáÑý40þ áÉÒâÇãÃå«áÖ åÈâÏátâ·ÊáF

BÒâÊCá¾

and among them was he whom We drowned. Alláh does not do injustice to them but they are unjust

to themselves. (29:40)



ãVÒâRá¿Ëá¯åÂB ãÄá\áÇá¾ ACá×ãÂåÑáF ãÐáäÃÂB ãÉÑâj

ÌãÆ BÑâmáháäWB áÌÖãmáäÂB âÄá\áÆ

The example of those who take guardians other than Alláh is like the example of a

spider;



åÒáÂ ãVÒâRá¿Ëá¯åÂB âYå×áRáÂ ãVÒâ×âRåÂB áÌáÎåÑáF áäÉãHáÑ

CæXå×áQ åVámáháäWBý41þ áÉÒâÇáÃå¯áÖ BÒâÊCá¾

it takes a house, but surely the frailest of houses is the house of a spider; if only they

knew. (29:41)



âqÖãqá¯åÂB áÒâÎáÑ èAåØáw ÌãÆ ãÐãÊÑâj ÌãÆ áÉÒâ®åkáÖ CáÆ

âÈáÃå¯áÖ áÐáäÃÂB áäÉãHý42þ âÈ×ã¿ádåÂB

Alláh knows whatever thing they call upon besides Him, and He is the Mighty, the Wise.

(29:42)



áäÙãH CáÏâÃã»å¯áÖ CáÆáÑ ãrCáäËÃãÂ CáÏâQãoå£áÊ âÁCá\

åÆáåÛB áÀåÃãWáÑý43þ áÉÒâÇãÂCá¯åÂB

These are the examples We have set forth for mankind, but none understand them except

those who know. (29:43)



æUáÖáÝ áÀãÂál Øã¶ áäÉãH ãä¼ádåÂCãQ á¡ånáåÛBáÑ

ãVBáÑCáÇáätÂB âÐáäÃÂB á¼áÃágý44þ áÌ×ãËãÆåKâÇåÃãäÂ

Alláh created the heavens and the earth with truth, surely in this there is a sign for the

believers. (29:44)



áTáÚáä|ÂB ãÈãºáFáÑ ãPCáXã¿åÂB áÌãÆ áÀå×áÂãH

áØãcÑâF CáÆ âÄåWB

Recite what has been revealed to you of the Book, and establish prayer;



ãoá¿ËâÇåÂBáÑ ACáxådá·åÂB ãÌá® ÔáÏåËáW áTáÚáä|ÂB

áäÉãH

surely prayer keeps you away from indecency and evil.



ý45þ áÉÒâ¯áËå|áW CáÆ âÈáÃå¯áÖ âÐáäÃÂBáÑ âoáRå¾áF ãÐáäÃÂB

âoå¾ãmáÂáÑ

Remembrance of Alláh is the greatest, and Alláh knows what you do. (29:45)



âÌátåcáF áØãÎ ØãXáäÂCãQ áäÙãH ãPCáXã¿åÂB áÄåÎáF

BÒâÂãjCá`âW áÙáÑ

Do not dispute with the people of the book except with what is best,



CáËå×áÂãH áÁãqÊâF ÕãmáäÂCãQ CáäËáÆD BÒâÂÒâºáÑ åÈâÏåËãÆ

BÒâÇáÃáª áÌÖãmáäÂB áäÙãHåÈâ¿å×áÂãH áÁãqÊâFáÑ

except those of them who act unjustly, and say: ‘We believe in what was revealed to us, and

what was revealed to you;



ý46þ áÉÒâÇãÃåtâÆ âÐáÂ âÌådáÊáÑ çkãcBáÑ

åÈâ¿âÏáÂãHáÑ CáËâÏáÂãHáÑ

our God and your God is one, and to Him we submit.’ (29:46)



áPCáXã¿åÂB áÀå×áÂãH CáËåÂáqÊáF

áÀãÂámá¾áÑ

Thus We have revealed to you the book.



ÌáÆ AáÙâKáÎ åÌãÆáÑ ãÐãQ áÉÒâËãÆåKâÖ áPCáXã¿åÂB

âÈâÎCáËå×áWD áÌÖãmáäÂCá¶ãÐãQ âÌãÆåKâÖ

Those whom we have given the book believe in it, and of these (Jews and Christians) there are

those who believe in it;



ý47þ áÉÑâoã¶Cá¿åÂB áäÙãH CáËãWCáÖEãQ

âkádå`áÖ CáÆáÑ

and none deny Our signs except the disbelievers. (29:47)



áÀãË×ãÇá×ãQ âÐâä§âháW áÙáÑ èPCáXã¾ ÌãÆ ãÐãÃåRáº ÌãÆ

ÒâÃåXáW áYËâ¾ CáÆáÑý48þ áÉÒâÃã§åRâÇåÂB

áPCáWånáäÙ BælãH

You did not recite any book before it, nor did you transcribe one with your right hand, for then

those who follow untruth would have doubted. (29:48)



CáÆáÑ áÈåÃã¯åÂB BÒâWÑâF áÌÖãmáäÂB ãnÑâkâ{ Øã¶

çVCáËãä×áQ çVCáÖD áÒâÎ åÄáQý49þ áÉÒâÇãÂCáä«ÂB áäÙãH

CáËãWCáÖEãQ âkádå`áÖ

Nay! It is a clear sign in the hearts of those who have been given knowledge; and none dispute

Our signs except the unjust. (29:49)



âVCáÖåÝB CáÇáäÊãH åÄâº ãÐãäQáän ÌãäÆ çVCáÖD ãÐå×áÃá® áÁãqÊâF

áÙåÒáÂ BÒâÂCáºáÑý50þ çÌ×ãRâäÆ çoÖãmáÊ CáÊáF CáÇáäÊãHáÑ ãÐáäÃÂB ákËã®

They say: ‘Why are signs not sent down upon him from his Lord?’ Say: ‘The signs are only with Alláh,

I am only a plain warner.’ (29:50)



åÈãÏå×áÃá® ÔáÃåXâÖ áPCáXã¿åÂB áÀå×áÃá® CáËåÂáqÊáF CáäÊáF

åÈãÏã·å¿áÖ åÈáÂáÑáFý51þ áÉÒâËãÆåKâÖ èÅåÒá»ãÂ

Óáoå¾ãláÑ æUáÇåcáoáÂ áÀãÂál Øã¶ áäÉãH

Is it not enough for them that We have sent down to you the Book which is recited to them? Surely in this

there is a mercy and a reminder for a people who believe. (29:51)



Øã¶ CáÆ âÈáÃå¯áÖ Bæk×ãÏáw åÈâ¿áËå×áQáÑ ØãËå×áQ ãÐáäÃÂCãQ Ôá·á¾ åÄâº

ã¡ånáåÛBáÑ ãVBáÑCáÇáätÂB

Say: ‘Sufficient is Alláh as a witness between me and you, He knows what is in the heavens

and the earth.



áÀãNáÂåÑâF ãÐáäÃÂCãQ BÑâoá·á¾áÑ ãÄã¦CáRåÂCãQ

BÒâËáÆD áÌÖãmáäÂBáÑý52þ áÉÑâoãsCáhåÂB âÈâÎ

Those who believe in falsehood and disbelieve in Alláh, those are the losers.’

(29:52)



âÈâÎACá`áÂ ÔæäÇátâäÆ çÄá_áF áÙåÒáÂáÑ ãPBámá¯åÂCãQ

áÀáÊÒâÃã`å¯áXåtáÖáÑâPBámá¯åÂB

They ask you to hasten the punishment, and had not the term been appointed the

punishment would certainly have come to them;



ý53þ áÉÑâoâ¯åxáÖ áÙ åÈâÎáÑ æUáXå³áQ

ÈâÏáäËá×ãWåGá×áÂáÑ

and indeed it will come to them suddenly, while they are not aware.

(29:53)



çUá§×ãdâÇáÂ áÈáäËáÏá_ áäÉãHáÑ ãPBámá¯åÂCãQ

áÀáÊÒâÃã`å¯áXåtáÖý54þ áÌÖãoã¶Cá¿åÂCãQ

They ask you to hasten the punishment; surely Hell encompasses the disbelievers.

(29:54)



åÈãÏãÃâ_ånáF ãYådáW ÌãÆáÑ åÈãÏãºåÒá¶ ÌãÆ âPBámá¯åÂB

âÈâÎCáxå³áÖ áÅåÒáÖý55þ áÉÒâÃáÇå¯áW åÈâXËâ¾ CáÆ

BÒâºÑâl âÁÒâ»áÖáÑ

On the day when the punishment will cover them from above, and from below their feet, and He shall say: Taste (the results of) what you did.

(29:55)



áÕCáäÖãIá¶ çUá¯ãsBáÑ Øã¢ånáF áäÉãH BÒâËáÆD

áÌÖãmáäÂB áÕãjCáRã® CáÖý56þ ãÉÑâkâRå®Cá¶

O My servants who believe, My earth is wide, therefore worship Me alone. (29:56)



ý57þ áÉÒâ¯á_åoâW CáËå×áÂãH

áäÈâ[ ãVåÒáÇåÂB âUá»ãMBál èuå·áÊ âäÄâ¾

Every soul shall taste of death, then to Us you shall be returned. (29:57)



ãVCádãÂCáä|ÂB BÒâÃãÇá®áÑ BÒâËáÆD

áÌÖãmáäÂBáÑ

Those who believe and do good deeds,



ânCáÏåÊáåÛB CáÏãXådáW ÌãÆ Õãoå`áW Cæ¶áoâ² ãUáäËá`åÂB

áÌãäÆ ÈâÏáäËáMãäÒáRâËáÂCáÏ×ã¶ áÌÖãkãÂCág

We shall lodge them in lofty chambers in the gardens beneath which rivers flow, and they

shall abide therein.



ý58þ áÌ×ãÃãÆCá¯åÂB âoå_áF áÈå¯ãÊ

How excellent is the reward of those who perform (good) deeds. (29:58)



ý59þ áÉÒâÃáä¾áÒáXáÖ åÈãÏãäQán ÔáÃá®áÑ

BÑâoáRá{ áÌÖãmáäÂB

Those who are patient, and rely on their Lord. (29:59)



åÈâ¾CáäÖãHáÑ CáÏâºâpåoáÖ âÐáäÃÂB CáÏáºåpãn âÄãÇådáW áÙ

èUáäQBáj ÌãÆ ÌãäÖáGá¾áÑý60þ âÈ×ãÃá¯åÂB â°×ãÇáätÂB

áÒâÎáÑ

And how many a living creature does not carry its own sustenance; Alláh sustains it and yourselves; and He is the All Hearing, All

Knowing. (29:60)



áoáähásáÑ á¡ånáåÛBáÑ ãVBáÑCáÇáätÂB á¼áÃág åÌáäÆ

ÈâÏáXåÂáGás ÌãNáÂáÑý61þ áÉÒâ¿á¶åKâÖ ÔáäÊáGá¶

âÐáäÃÂB áäÌâÂÒâ»á×áÂ áoáÇá»åÂBáÑ áuåÇáäxÂB

If you ask them who created the heavens and the earth, and made the sun and moon subservient, they will surely say Alláh. Why are they then turned away?

(29:61)



âÐáÂ ânãkå»áÖáÑ ãÍãjCáRã® åÌãÆ ACáxáÖ ÌáÇãÂ á¹åpãäoÂB â¨âtåRáÖ

âÐáäÃÂBý62þ çÈ×ãÃá® èAåØáw ãäÄâ¿ãQ

áÐáäÃÂB áäÉãH

Alláh makes abundant the sustenance of whoever He pleases and straitens it for him (who He pleases). Surely Alláh is Aware of all things.

(29:62)



á¡ånáåÛB ãÐãQ Cá×åcáGá¶ ACáÆ ACáÇáätÂB áÌãÆ áÁáäqáäÊ ÌáäÆ

ÈâÏáXåÂáGás ÌãNáÂáÑâÐáäÃÂB áäÌâÂÒâ»á×áÂ CáÏãWåÒáÆ

ãkå¯áQ ÌãÆ

If you ask them who sends water from the sky, then gives life with it to the earth after its death, they

will surely say Alláh.



ý63þ áÉÒâÃã»å¯áÖ áÙ åÈâÎâoá\å¾áF åÄáQ

ãÐáäÃãÂ âkåÇádåÂB ãÄâº

Say: ‘All praise is for Alláh. Nay! most of them do not understand.’ (29:63)



çSã¯áÂáÑ çÒåÏáÂ áäÙãH Cá×åÊâäkÂB âTCá×ádåÂB

ãÍãmáÎ CáÆáÑ

The life of this world is nothing but a sport and play.



ý64þ áÉÒâÇáÃå¯áÖ BÒâÊCá¾ åÒáÂ âÉBáÒá×ádåÂB áØãÏáÂ

áTáoãgåÝB ánBáäkÂB áäÉãHáÑ

Surely the abode of the Hereafter, that most certainly is the life, if only they knew.

(29:64)



áÌÖãäkÂB âÐáÂ áÌ×ã|ãÃåhâÆ áÐáäÃÂB BâÒá®áj ãÀåÃâ·åÂB

Øã¶ BÒâRã¾án BálãIá¶

When they ride on the ships they call upon Alláh, making the religion sincerely His.



ý65þ áÉÒâ¾ãoåxâÖ åÈâÎ BálãH ãäoáRåÂB ÔáÂãH åÈâÎCáä`áÊ CáäÇáÃá¶

But when He brings them safely to land, lo! they associate others with Him.

(29:65)



ý66þ áÉÒâÇáÃå¯áÖ áµåÒátá¶ BÒâ¯áäXáÇáXá×ãÂáÑ åÈâÎCáËå×áWD CáÇãQ

BÑâoâ·å¿á×ãÂ

Thus they become ungrateful for what We have given them. Let them enjoy; soon

they shall know. (29:66)



CæËãÆD CæÆáoác CáËåÃá¯á_ CáäÊáF

BåÑáoáÖ åÈáÂáÑáF

Do they not see that We have made a sacred territory secure,



åÈãÏãÂåÒác åÌãÆ ârCáäËÂB

â¸áä§áháXâÖáÑ

while people are carried off by force from around them?



ý67þ áÉÑâoâ·å¿áÖ ãÐáäÃÂB ãUáÇå¯ãËãQáÑ áÉÒâËãÆåKâÖ

ãÄã¦CáRåÂCãRá¶áF

Will they still believe in falsehood and disbelieve in the favour of Alláh? (29:67)



ãä¼ádåÂCãQ áPáämá¾ åÑáF CæQãmá¾ ãÐáäÃÂB ÔáÃá®

ÓáoáXå¶B ãÌáäÇãÆ âÈáÃåªáF åÌáÆáÑ

âÍACá_ CáäÇáÂ

Who is more unjust than one who forges a lie against Alláh, or denies the truth when it comes

to him?



ý68þ áÌÖãoã¶Cá¿åÃãäÂ ÓæÒå\áÆ áÈáäËáÏá_ Øã¶

áuå×áÂáF

Is not Hell the abode of the disbelievers? (29:68)



áÐáäÃÂB áäÉãHáÑ CáËáÃâRâs åÈâÏáäËáÖãkåÏáËáÂ CáË×ã¶

BÑâkáÎCá_ áÌÖãmáäÂBáÑý69þ áÌ×ãËãtådâÇåÂB á°áÇáÂ

Those who strive hard for Us, We will most certainly guide them to our ways; and Alláh is

always with the doers of good. (29:69)



èkáäÇádâÆ ãÁB áäÑ èkáäÇádâÆ ÔÃá® ãäÄá{ áäÈâÏäÃÂáB
